Yeah, Oracle of secrets would have been cool. I credit you for trying to take on such a big project yourself. That sucks about your computer. I was also really ticked off that they canceled the third game.
I wish you all the luck in the world in finishing Oracle of Secrets.
And if you need a hand with graphics or GameMaker let me know.
I've got projects of my own, but I'm always willing to spare some of my time to worthy projects.

Sounds cool to me. I'll be waiting Oh and Vanya I read what you said about projects and game maker. Could you tell me a little about game maker? I'm working on a project myself.

Wow, cool. I want to see a final result for this game, so keep it up! I wish this game was released with Ages and Seasons, but alas Capcom and Nintendo decided to just move on. Aw, well what are we fans for? Stuff like this!

Oh! I just remembered about a sprite sheet for one of the bosses I had uploaded to the earlier thread. Here it is, obviously not going to be the first boss if used:



It's Blind from A link to the past, used the alttp version as a base. Might resprite it without using a base though, just for the satisfaction of "originality". What do you guys think?

Ummm, idk if you're still working on this but after reading your discussions I have a few suggestions and corrections for false information.
1. There are 8 dungeons AND the final boss. So there need to be 8 essences.
2. I don't think the game should deviate from the path the other two set, so shouldn't the main item just get added to. Like maybe after you "translate" certain parts of the book in some way you can access more parts of the other dimension.
3. The Master Sword and the Mirror Shield were both achieved by using secrets from the other games, unless the game was set after the other two oracle games.
4. I'm not sure how many people actually realize what Veran and Onox's goals were in the first place. Veran's goal was to light the Flame of Sorrow by sowing sorrow throughout Labrynna, and Onox was supposed to sow destruction throughout Holodrum therefore lighting the Flame of Destruction. After both these flames were lit the Flame of Despair was lit. The Flame of Despair was lit to resurrect Ganon, but they also needed to sacrifice Zelda. Since that couldn't happen Twinrova sacrificed herself to resurrect Ganon.
5. I noticed the Maku Trees are the same gender as the final bosses, so maybe you should do that. Oh, but if the other dimension is like a mirror of the first (which I believe is too much like Ages) then the Maku Tree could be male in one and female in the other, which I believe someone else suggested.
6. I think Vipershark's idea was not a very good one (no offense), and not having the essences bring strength back to the Maku Tree(s) would, I think, deviate too far from the other games.
7. Would fire arrows be necessary with ember seeds? I think it would be better to have ember arrows instead, or something that shot seeds instead of arrows.

This seems like a really good project so far! I would be more than happy to sprite some items. I was in the middle of making a project alot like this (Farore, book of secrets, if there was a third game, ect.), so I have some items already. One I like: the Electric Rod. Can animate statues, stun strong enemies, go through some walls,ect. Also, whats this project being made with?

ummm when is it taking place, after the other two oracle games or does it not matter cuz OoA and OoS could be played in any order so would that count for this too? (hope not cuz tht would make things confusing)

and maybe this Betrum could light that flame of despair perhaps? i think it's fair to make a slight alteration to the story for this.
