Yes perhaps a golden Steel type.

Say what?

Well remember the Crystal Onix episode? He was an unusual Rock type that could live in the water and was weak against fire. Then the next generation comes around and introduces Steelix. Steel type and weak against Fire.

Well years later there was an episode about an unusual Sudowoodo that was gold and could survive in the water, just like the Crystal Onix.

I wouldn't mind seeing a fossil pokemon that's steel tbh.
theres really no reason not to have it considering minerals or metals can be just about old as a dinosaur, so I'd like to see something like that in pokemon.

the subject of fossil pokes is that they are revived rocks, thus they have to be rock type by the game's standards. I'd like your idea but the thought of it happening is unlikely just from my first point. (would like to see B/W change this pattern though, or just have more pokemon evolve with ancient power since they pulled it off like that)

You know what I would like?

Pokemon to have two abilities (A main ability and a complimentary "mini-ability" of some sort)

These mini-abilities wouldn't be as potent as the main abilities (like soundproof, levitate, water viel, etc). They are hidden from the player, and they would have trivial effects on pokemon. Few (like 35 or so) would exist, so 40+ pokemon could share the same mini-ability. In addition, a single pokemon species would only have one mini-ability, to prevent breeding problems (like accidentally breeding a pokemon with a useless mini-ability instead of a useful one).

like for example

One mini-ability could boost a pokemon's defense by 10% at 30% health (sorta like guts in some fighting games like tvc)

Another mini-ability could increase a pokemon's attack by 5% from being hit by super effective attacks. It would cap after 5 super effective hits. Bulky pokemon like snorlax and slaking might have that

Although, I would really like a mini-ability that increases a pokemon's speed by 30% if switched in and nearly killed by an incoming attack. Fragile pokemon like alakazam could have that

Some negative mini-abilities could exist too. Like a mini-ability that eliminates a ground type's immunity to electric-type moves during the rain. This could explain why Brock's Onix was KO'd by pikachu's thunderbolt when the gym's sprinklers went off

dunno, just a thought
NOPE.

That would be cool
