I think it's rubbish for people to behave like that, anyone who's harsher than necessary should get in trouble just as much as someone who messes up in any other way.
This is one of those places where the slippery slope isn't hypothetical, people are sliding down it at high velocity.

Well sometimes Iceman, koopaul, Vipershark etc. do do some things I can see people getting peeved about but it just gets taken too far. I'm just as much of a crankypants as everyone else here in real life though, despite whatever "nice person" reputation I have here, haha
But yeah this is basically TSR's next big group project, trying to stay calm and being more like a nice community. I'm obviously full of "new member patience" and I'm not mean to strangers (just the dumb people I know ) so I guess I'll do what I can. I can see it being hard for some members to refrain from messing with people who feel like a waste of time but I guess we just have to "keep each other in check" or whatever the term for it is
BECAUSE WE'RE
TEAM TSR
*pose*
Your sig illustrates those last 3 lines pretty well.

I really like that stupid people are rushed out. If the staff wants to push for more positive vibes and more tolerance I'll support it but I don't really want to let dumb people in either. I can see being nicer to already-established members being a valid point, and I can see the logic in getting rid of spamhaul (but are threads like "well quakers" even allowed in GD?). I just hope the high standards this place has can maintain a healthy balance.
~~my two cents~~
Yes, I could have also posted the "Well Quakers" thread in the GD too.

Should I really post the msn convo here?
I mean, after all so they can see why you think so and see an opposing view while at it?

You can't really deny that we managed to get far as we are now compared to back then.
the community issue is the only real thing standing in our way now.

Well according to CeeY we shouldn't have added any more staff members. If that was the case we'd have no more moderators anymore.

Should that even be considered a problem though?
If we are expanding then we should have more staff, it's not a really a necessity, thats true but it helps to keep the community from going ape shit on each other.

Well it is kinda a necessity to keep the forums for going apeshit on eachother. After all we wouldn't have been a successful forum if he didn't have certain staff changes.

Hey Nick, either change your username yourself (to something less offensive) Or I'll change it to what you want for you. (as long as it isn't offensive)
