How's this for my models?
#16
Eh Valforwing I don't mean to be rude but was that really adding anything to it? You already said that just above.

Getting back on track though, have you had any progress E-Man?

*Chuckles* Yes, I suppose I could use the Koopa feet for other models, such as Mickey and Sora. However, I'm going to need to give the feet a few tweaks before I can use them for different models.

As for my model, I am pleased to say that my green-shelled friend is ready for action!

I have to admit that the head gave me a lot of trouble to model and I don't have much experience UV texturing, but I managed to make the model look just fine. By the way, the legs aren't attach because I haven't arranged the Koopa in its natural pose (i.e. body leaning forward). Who knows? I might even think about rigging the model and putting it in a natural position.

I'm going to get to work on creating Para-Troopa wings for the model, so if anyone either wants to give me suggestions, or require a zip file of what I got so far, just let me know.

The arms are way too long and skinny, the hands are way too small.
The tail is badly placed.
The eyes are also strangely rigged.

Well, I couldn't do better myself, but keep in mind that it's not perfect.

...... Well, I asked for suggestions, so suggestions I got (even though it's always irritating to go back and correct mistakes).

Regardless, I went back and corrected the mistakes you pointed out, Lexou.

I shorted and fattened the arms, made the hands bigger, placed the tail in a different location, and made the eyes larger (I had no idea what you meant by "rigged" but I was assuming that you meant that the eyes were kind of small). To top it all off, I even managed to put the Koopa in a natural leaning position!

Anything else that needs changing?

The shell would probably look a little bit better with a good bump map, but if you're not up for making one its pretty good as it is.

The back of the shoes seem a bit flat. You should also try to define the ridges within the Koopa's shell.

hrrm... oh why not include a shell only model as well? that way u could use it as an item as well as a koopa, like it can turn into a koopa green shell after it gets hit. good model, in bet u could make the red and winged versions next!

For the eyes, I meant, they were modeled in a way that makes him look literally retarded (no offense).

Now that you pointed out the mistake more clearly, Lexou, I managed to fix the eyes.

I hope that this is the last major mistake I have to fix. Speaking of which, I'm not that great at texturing, so I can't really give the shell a bump map, nor can I make the back of the shoes seem less flat. I hope that's not going to be a problem.

As for a shell only model, Valfor, although you could easily delete all the body parts to get it, I don't see why I can't make a separate submission.

Like I said if you can't give them bump maps its no big deal. It would just make the details pop out more without using loads of polys. It looks good the way it is though to me.

I think you did a fine job. I don't know if you'd like it but I have the Mariokart Double Dash koopas if you'd like to use them for reference for any last minute adjustments?

Although I'm doing fine without a model for reference, I don't see why you can't show me your Koopa models. Besides, I'm probably going to use your other models as references to my future projects anyway.

Alright. I'll look for them in my back up archives then. I'll get back to you on that.
