Ripping from Dolphin
#1
Hi guys
Just found this nice little forum while googling why 3d ripper dx wasnt working for my dolphin and hoping someone can shed some light for me. I'm using 32-bit windows with dolphin graphics set on direct3d9, the ready to capture message also displays at the topleft of the render screen. However whenever I capture none of the geometry actually gets captured. If I import the frame I captured in 3ds max I get absolutely nothing, but if I go to the textures folder for my 3d ripper dx captures there are 2d images of the frame that I just captured.

Thx for reading and any help would be appreciated.

edit: donno if it helps but I tried this on dolphin versions 5152 and 7607, and maybe a couple more in between with the same settings and the same results.

Hmm, that is odd. Try ripping using Dolphin 2.0 with 3D Ripper DX and see if that works.
btw, I would personally suggest you use alternative capture software instead, such as 3DVia Printscreen. That is, unless you need to capture a scene's exact positioning.

This is due to a conflict in key assignments. I don't think every build of Dolphin supports changing those, but if you can you should. Otherwise, try moving 3D Ripper DX's capture key to something that doesn't seem like it will affect the game too much.

mm guess ill try 3dvia prtscn next time as for the key conflicts im not rly sure if thats the problem as im using f12 for capture on 3d ripper dx i don think that does anything on dolphin? could be wrong but nothing changed in dolphin after i press the f12 key so
