I think Perseus nailed it.

I like the smaller on better because of its size and proportions however I still don't like the colors.
Hey guys, I took the sprite on the right and gave it the left one's colors, and made one with my very own colors. Whaddya think? Problems fixed? Mine's orangier and less dark.

This is getting redonkulus. The other two could be alternate costumes but we need to decide which one to work on.

Why do we have to keep changing the pose? What's wrong with what we had?

Nothing; but the more relaxed cannon pose looks better, imo.

The only problem I have with the current one is that when Perseus removed the highlights, it made the shoulder look like an orange stone honestly, and I'm not fond of that.
I think it's kind of a weird situation here, taking away the highlights cuts down detail and makes it easier to animate, but also takes away from the sprite some... I have an edit in mind but I can't do it because of TUGS. Thanked by: Kitsu

I don't like the relaxed pose actually. She's in battle, she should look ready to go. Look at Mario all spunky and pumped to fight.

also, if this was real.....and you had all that armor on you along with a gun that covers from your for-arm to well past your hands, that would get tiring holding, so a relaxed arm looks more, well organic, than a robot.
Note: the Power Suit is an advanced piece of technology with strength-augmenting and complementing motor systems. Meaning, Samus likely doesn't have to exert too much effort herself. Not to mention, the Zero Mission and Other M idle poses are pretty "battle-ready."
That said, I have no problem with a relaxed pose. I just think the shading and looks weird in a few spots (i.e. the back of the cannon and her shoulder pad). EDIT: Wow, that was an epic misspelling.

maybe for shading, maybe add highlights in a few areas, mostly the sholderpads, and less on the legs, that way it gives it detail, but not so much, and also it doesn't take away from feeling empty.
EDIT: sorry last part should be it takes away the empty feeling, not what I've posted... also it wont be to hard to animate if we had very few highlights in the Sholderpads. Thanked by: Garamonde
