Thinking of you,

And yet that is exactly what the text says, you are not allowed to change the shape of the silhouette and thus everything has to be filled (since otherwise the shape would be different) Wink
Seriously, in the other case the whole use of the term 'silhouette' would be really misleading.

Not that I want to say you shouldn't accept entries with a not fully filled 'silhouette', that isn't my point. But someone should consider taking the time to write down the dos and don'ts next time to make sure everyone gets the right idea. Wink

I think what CO2 meant was cramming the silhouette with elements, without necessarily a logic, but just for the sake of filling the silhouette up. That's what I'm doing with my silhouette, for instance. Some counter-examples are Gorsal Jr's and ccoffee table's silhouettes.
In every case the silhouette is filled, and its shape isn't modified. That was the point of the assignment.
One way of circumventing this restriction is setting the parts that aren't "used" to a very close colour to the background colour.

Retrospectively, I think the silhouette should be used as a base for ideas from which one can choose a specific part or not, and extend it outside its limits or not for a future assignment.

I didn't realize the preliminaries started. Chris2Balls should've posted something about it on PJ, since he did invite quite a few of us PJ goers to this.

It was posted on Pixeljoint:
http://www.pixeljoint.com/2011/06/17/348...S_TUGS.htm

I apologize for the date change, but I also invited those who wanted to participate to keep an eye on the thread "Organizing TUGS": the first post wasn't updated, I know. So, we're both at fault in these circumstances.
