On to bigger and better things...

Smile
Hello, everyone. Some... things have happened in the past few days that have been kind of crazy, in wake of a bunch of arguments and opinions in the like. Needless to say, it was very unpleasent, and it kind of dampered the mood of tSR while it was going on.

I myself wasn't around for a lot of it, as I'm not around for a lot of stuff here in the first place these days. I've been contemplating this for a few months, now, and I think it's time that I step down from my position as administrator of this forum. I'm going to be a senior in high school this year, I'm going to be taking some rigorous classes, and I'll have a lot of art to do as well, because I'm heading off into a career of art and art education. I'm going to be running Cross Country in the fall (actually, a week before school starts, which is in the summer still, but, y'know,) and of course you all know I avidly play soccer (indoor during the winter, school during the spring) and I am going to have a lot on my plate in the coming year. I unfortunately do not think I can place my full attention and interest into administrating this forum during that time. I have also been enjoying my busy summer thus far, and it's reasonable to say that I'm going to have a job here shortly, in order to make money for my gas, myself, and a huge trip my friends and I have planned for the end of senior year. I'm going to be taking myself places this year, and it's definitely going to be a different experience.

I have had an amazing time leading you guys and I've made so many friends here in the process. I grew to love the forum ever since I first visited Pixeltendo, and I never imagined that I'd one day be one of the leading admins of the place! I've loved hosting tSR's events, including Secret Santa and the like, and I've really enjoy sharing my experiences with you all and learning more about each and every one of you, but I do feel as if it's time I move on to bigger and better things. I've decided that no matter how much I'd like to keep my position, that I truly need to do this, in order to dedicate myself to my life and my ambitions more. My ambitions do not lie in video game resources, video games, or even gaming itself, and I've realized that, in a lot of factors, I myself don't always fit the status quo. My opinions differ from many of yours at times, but we all know how to eventually get along with each other, despite that. I really respect every single one of you and will always remember the experiences I shared with you here, as they changed who I am as a person.

This isn't to say that I'll be completely leaving the forum, as I would love to stay in contact with most each and every one of you. However, I will post and visit much less frequently in order to dedicate my time to things that I feel like need dedication, and perhaps I can push myself to become even better at everything I love. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you guys, so I want to thank all of you for making my run as a moderator and administrator of tSR a great one. I will be moving into the "retired staff" position as have many of our current members, so if I'm ever needed I can make a swift return to save things or something along those lines, but in any case, I feel like I'm ready to move on, and so are many of you. It's time for a new generation of members to step in and start taking up the banner of tSR, and perhaps, become admins themselves someday. It's possible!

Anyways, I hope to continue to see tSR blossom, as well as tVGR, as Dazz has really outdone himself with the work on everything, and he-- and the rest of the resource workers-- truly deserve it. I am proud to have been an essential part of this website for so long, and it's really sad, but we all have to move on eventually. Life goes on, and so will this site! I leave with you with words from one of my favorite poets:

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Have a good life, Adam, we all wish the best for you. It's tough moving on, but time waits for no man.

Maybe one day we will buy that castle in Norway...

Best of luck to you in everything going on for your senior year of high school and on. Although I didn't know you that well on the forums, I could easily tell that you were a highly respected member here along with an incredible pixel artist. Hope to see you around the forums every once and a while when you've got the time. Smile

Oh, and good luck in cross country. It's always cool to see another runner around here, I remember cross country was a blast in my four years of high school.

I haven't been here that long, and don't really know you all that well, Dex. However, from what I've seen, you put a lot of love and effort into this place, you love these people and did well with your position. You've been trying to get people to come, and even make it enjoyable for them in the process, while still dealing with everything in your life.

So respect is a must for you. I'm glad you are getting on with your life, becoming something much more, going to college and getting a career. It's really great. You got my support all the way though and I can't wait to see what you make of yourself out in the world.

So Dex, farewell for now..... you...

Dex, you are one of the most wonderful people I have met here, and your encouragement in the past has helped me feel better about myself and to try my best and improve.

You were one of the hearts of this community for such a time and have done such a big part in shaping and pulling this community together and you have done so much good, it's hard to comprehend.

Because of this I am genuinely shocked and can't wrap my mind around it. I also congratulate you on moving forward and pursuing the life you've always wanted. You were one of the people I was supporting most, and you are just so special to us.

This has been a fantastic journey, filled with fun, laughter, anger, sadness, tension, craziness, goodbyes, greetings, friendships... you've been a part of all of those things and this place has been through so much, it's outstanding.

I sincerely wish you the very best for every year the rest of your life and I cannot express how proud we all are of you. Thank you for helping make The Spriter's Resource the place it is today. I'm sorry I can't think of much else to say. I think I've stated what I needed to.

So with that... sayonara our incredible friend... *sniff*

Sad

Well, see you around, Adam. You're a fucking awesome guy, and I wish you the best of luck in everything you do in life, from artistic endeavors to soccer to cross-country to music (wtf aren't you good at dude). You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into shaping and improving this community, and I doubt anyone here will ever forget you (don't worry even if they do I'll remind them). And you've been a great friend to me personally for a long time now too.

So, yeah. I'll always support you in everything you do dude, and if you need anything you know where to find me. Thank you, for everything you've done.

You're basically the heart and soul of... awesome! You are kind, cool and a really nice guy (I believe I've said this before). I hope you go far in life and I hope that when I'm 17 I'll be just like you
Maybe we'll see each other around on the Internet some time in the future. I'll be waiting for that day
Have a nice life, goodbye Cry
