Videogames you love, videogames you hate thread
i hate anything labeled as halo after halo combat evolved.

I liked all of the Halos up to Reach, which I can't honestly consider a true successor because of how bad some of the changes they haphazardly made were. Headshots with regular headshot weapons being meaningless against shields, which might I remind you is for all intensive purposes your HEALTH in Halo, were a big kicker for me. Because of course its so much more skillful to spam your gun than to properly aim it. If it weren't for my friends that I hang with on there sometimes I would probably never play it again. With any luck, that title update they've announced will change my opinion on the game.

its more of halo CE having a surprisingly solid gameplay(and to an extent, plot) with a surprisingly fun campaing. gun in multiplayer were extremely balanced and simple at the same time, making them easily to control and get used, yet still requiring a learning process to fully understand how they behave in diferent scenarios.

then halo 2 came and everything went random, and later halo 3 fucked things even more.

I really, REALLY hate MW2. The worst FPS ever. I swear to god. The other CODs are good but this one, where the hitbox would almost always be in an area seperate from the graphics, the sniper rifle can aim at the sky and get a headshot, some perks and killstreak rewards were just grossly overpowered. EG. why the hell would you take out juggernaught but leave in stopping power? How one man army made it extremely easy to camp in the same 3 spots forever. How commando launched you a fucking planet and a half. The fact that a nuke wasn't all that hard to get when considering the fact that all you had to do was get a harrier, and the rest is history. Kill some random passers by, and get a chopper. One you get a chopper, teammates move in for easy spawn lock, and its over. Nuke. This game gets all kinds of retarded when you get good and play good people. It shows you how bad it actually is.

Never seen any of the grossly overpowered shit you mention. And I think I've seen people get a nuke twice, in ALL the time I've played MW2 and they got it right before the match had ended because its not that easy to get.

It's easy once you know how to camp properly, which is the only slightly dificult part about getting it. It's all about knowing where the spawns are, and where they are most likley going to be. After you learn that, you have to find spots to accommodate for that, and make sure that you are harder to hit than they are, which is not that hard to be honest. Damn near every stage in MW2 caters to this and has at least 2-3 spots on each side to go about doing this. Set claymores via one man army and you are set. You are officially untouchable. Get some undetectable perks so you don't show up on heartbeat sensors or get hit with random harriers, and there ya go. After you get a harrier, wait for a UAV. This takes about 10 secs as UAVs are frequent. Set your harriers there and bam. You now have a chopper gunner. Hearing enemy apache ensues fear within the other team. It gives you team a HUUUUUGE advantage. That just have to clean up random buildings, as the enemy team is usually not prepared fully to deal with an enemy at the time. Spawn locking comes soon after. Nuke it. This is actually way easier than it sounds. You do have to have a complete understanding of your stage, your surroundings, and you enemies playstyle. But this is why i said that once you get to a certain level of skill, becuase that is when it becomes retarded, and nukes become frequent. I nuked at least every other game.

Seriously...I don't ever see that when I'm playing. I think you're getting a little huffy about something you're extremely over exaggerating.

From what I've seen, both of you are actually right, depending on what skill level you play at.

On one hand, there are the people who can pull out a nuke like it's nothing

But on the other hand, at the lower levels (where I normally play) nukes are incredibly rare. I've seen maybe... five total in all the games I've played.

It just depends all on whether you're playing with crazy high-level hardcore guys or regular players.

Duke Nukem Forever. Jesus just...I don't know any other game I hate as much as that one, and I've played Dora the Explorer on my GBA

Halo and Halo Reach are the only good Halo games in my own opinion. Hated Halo 2 and Halo 3 just wasn't much better.
Wish Reach's story didn't suck arse but well, when are Halo stories ever good? Sure the super-fans think it's some kind of amazing universe and some of the books are OK but the game story lines and characters have always been pretty poor.

As for games I hate: Oblivion. I hate Oblivion so damn much. How did a game with such crap combat become such a success? It's like "Sure the gameplay sucks but look, loot and a big world!" and that some how makes it good...

I get around the sucky combat by going pure stealth and one-shot-killing everything B)

I can't intelligently justify liking Oblivion tbh! It's -- it's just fun to pretend to be a Dremora sometimes, ok?
