I'm more worried about this whole "Stamina Bar" to be honest. I'm usually extremely loathe to play games with such things. They just aren't fun for me.

It's not really fair to call it a "fuck you" from nintendo since all it adds is realism to the game.

Not that I really mind the breaking shield and all, but it is a big "fuck you" to add realism to an unrealistic, almost escapist, franchise. It kind of rots the intent of the series. Realism in itself isn't inherently bad, but when you take a franchise that was built out of whimsy and add realism in really noticeable, style-breaking ways, it is a "fuck you."

"I don't mind that Mario can't leap large chasms anymore, because small hops adds more realism to the game."

While Zelda is a fantasy franchise, it's always had realism in many ways put in, as in wind waker where you couldn't just infinitely swim. and damage from falling to far, I see no problem with them adding more.

OoT also had the damage from falling too far as well. They probably add these things so it won't be more of the same. I'm fine with any changes they make. It'll likely turn out better than you expect.

I remember similar complaints before Majora's Mask.

A time limit in a Zelda game? That's dumb. Zelda games shouldn't have time limits.
But look how that turned out.

My thoughts are that if Nintnendo are adding it there's probably a very good reason to it.
I doubt they would have just said ''oh hey lets make it so the shield breaks'' for no reason.

It seems to me that the wooden shield in the beginning is more of a last resort defense when you are too slow to block it with your sword. I am sure that they will have a replacement shield later in the game to take its place. (Like Twilight Princess with the wooden shield catching on fire and later obtaining the hylian shield.)

I agree the shield breaking thing isn't a biggy since it will no doubt be replaced.

But the stamina meter is really pissing me off... It limits how much you can run, but also how much you can climb, hold things, etc.
It also limits your spin attack but they also made that piss easy to use really quickly so that is fair.
But climbing? That's bullshit. And some 20-30 collectable materials for crafting better disposable equipment? Illogical.

Halo is boring as shit, I completely forgot... The remake is obviously going to be the same game with updated graphics which really have the same poor quality animations and shit going on.
It just feels like an old game with nothing new about it. I'd rather just play Halo 3, even though I've completed it tonnes.

I assumed perhaps updated animation and voice acting... And programming so NPCs aren't talking shit all the time.
