oh keychain GIMME THE CHOCOLATE
you know i just realized something and i have a feeling zeemorts gonna storm on in when i mention it all of the girls in this game conveniently have only physical disabilities ALL of the characters you meet have some sort of physical disability - blindness, arrythmia, amptuated limbs spoiler: emi mentions that there are some students at yamaku wear helmets (somewhat jokingly might i add) maybe I'm jumping to conclusions here, but why would someone with a physical disability wear a helmet around campus like emi implies are classes at yamaku segregated between the physically and mentally disabled? i mean, i understand the gigantic can of worms it would open if you could romance a mentally disabled highschooler in a dating sim - and holy shit there's not much I can say in my position besides "yeah thatd be fucked up" but there seems to be a big hole in explaining the student body of yamaku that fourleaf studios just seems to conveniently left out which they kinda poke fun at i don't blame them it just kinda seems like sort of a dick move to highlight "the gr8ness" of the physically disabled while making jabs at the mentally disabled

Well the Blind Students had their own seperate classroom, and I'm guessing there is mentally disabled, but (and I realize this sounds mean but) no one would really want a mentally disabled person as a choice, because people just think of mentally disabled as below average iq and such when it could be whole plethora of mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia, ect(can't remember AP Psych at all right now heh)

I'm pretty sure the kids who have to wear helmets are epileptic or have seizures. At least I think so, someone in my family had to do that cause if they hit their head or soemthing it would trigger a stroke maybe? I'm not too sure sorry.

There are people who can be sent into a coma at the slightest tap of the head. A helmet would be rather important to make them, y'now, not dead.

is misha not mentally retarded or something? i got that impression at least

aside from unfunny cracks, I did play a little bit of the game (A bit of the first chapter)
pure honesty, I think it's kind of interesting. It's not bad for a visual novel, it kind of makes you want to continue reading on and making choices without making it seemed bluntly forced. Something most of them tend to do anyways.

Misha I dunno...she could be autistic or something, cause I remember the teacher telling her to keep the volume lvl low. And i used to have problems with that too, and i have ausbergers so it could be either. She seems more on the autistic side of the specturm though, wish we knew more about her. Don't get why she doesn't have a route or like that blonde guy from Clannad where you go best friends route or something. I dunno what I'm saying really.
What's the deal with Kenji and the librarian anyways? Latter seems like she has panic attacks or episodes or something.

Kenji, from what I've played so far, is almost blind and has some form of schizophrenia.

Yeah, that or just a nutcase lol. I really ddon't know too much about schiz... to be sure. Emi's route is alright so far, I kinda liked Rin's better but we'll see by the time I get to the end. I feel dumb though, why does she need metal legs for running yet wears plastic human legs when not running?
01-30-2012, 08:18 PM
perhaps Emi is ether used to running on metal legs or she prefers it.
far as Misha goes I think she does fit on the autism spectrum, I can't really pinpoint what part of it is but to be fair I wouldn't say her thinking skills fit into the part where she's really on the low end of the scale. I wouldn't say she has asperger syndrome ether. maybe it's somewhere in between. |
