Spiral Knights
#61
Equipment is funny in Spiral Knights; you can only get them by crafting, shops, or from other players. You only get the materials for crafting from your adventuring :C

And even from other players, crafting higher-end stuff for trade is difficult since you need to remove the equip binds (which you need to do anyway to accumulate heat) before you can do anything with them Sad

Power Surge weekend has started! Elevators cost half the energy to use. Anyone gonna be playing? Cool

Finally started working my way into T3 items.

Anyone else notice that the jump between T2 and T3 items are little to nothing for most items?

While their stats may not really see many increases, they get huge buffs when used in t3 levels.

For example, while my Polaris has exactly the same amount of elemental damage as the Gigawatt Pulsar before it, it does nearly twice as much damage in t3 levels.

Sol and I sat dead for half an hour and made small talk, while Shiver ran in circles around us with hoards of bots in tow.

Lockdown sure is fun. And not bomberman.

It reminds me a bit of Control Points, in TF2.

Playing Tier 1 Lockdown as a Guardian is hilariously boring. That is, it's funny because no one can ever kill you unless they go 3 or 4 on 1, since you just recover the damage they deal to you.

Quote:Mission Teasers
A lot of missions are on the way, here’s a quick list of some of the things to expect:
- Braving the Soldier’s Graveyard outside of Haven to pay respects to an unknown knight
- Facing the deadly new ‘battlepods’ that can take the form of anything from mecha knight production machines to poison fume generators
- Rescuing imprisoned knights from a gremlin prison and battling alongside them as you make your escape
- Taking on the ultimate arena in a monstrous bulwark that protects the Firestorm Citadel
- Exploring a mysterious statuary of trojans and discovering their terrible origin
- Laying siege on the hidden castle of the Crimson Order’s weapon master

Oh man, this sounds amazing.

Amazing enough to get me playing again for sure.

Yeah, it should be nice to not grind FSC once a day and do something else in the game.

Nothing is amazing enough to get me playing again for a while. Spiral Knights got boring waaay too quickly.

That's not to say it's a bad game. It's just not a very good one. If you feel like walking and killing stuff and you've lost your keyboard, it's great!
You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call "failure" is not the falling down, but the staying down. -Mary Pickford

I felt that once you make it to a certain point, the game did require strategy to some degree.

I have to agree, though. The game got boring more quickly then it should have. I think it will be getting
more content to make it more interesting soon, since it was bought out by sega.

Let's hope Sega can make this as awesome as just about every other game it's associated with Wink
