Yes it is 4 frames, but 6 in the animation

Could be that the animation is a bit off? Gors did say four frames for the idle..

I suggest stop working on that and study anatomy first

seriously


the body proportion is off, the limbs are too straight and rigid, punch doens't look strong enough, the little shading present in she sprite is subpar.

it might animate ok, but that's too casual walk for a fighting game. Also pay attention to how the limbs bend, and inclination of the feet when it takes a step.

There's no problem if you go over the 4 frame limit, as long as it doesn't look out of place compared to the rest.
