legostorm, I'm pretty sure the white you're using on the helmet isn't the right one.
Also all the colors you're using are too dark and they're melting into each other. I suggest rounding out the eyes and making the farther hand the same size as the other one.

This is what its like without the outline and I made the hands the skin tone.
Oh and more detailed version of explosion and bomb animation?

Thanks though.
Also I'm loving your stage. In your head isn't good enough-create some thumbnails for each move, and as Gors mentioned above, give it some relevance to the character, or at least, make it relevant. You could start your own thread if you want better feedback, meaning more focus for you and the people giving their view on your work.
I have an issue with the readability of the arms of your character, plus they're not the same length.
I was thinking that Dhalsim ( Super Street Fighter 2) and Piccolo's ( DBZ Hyper Dimension) stretchy attacks could suit your character, aswell as Blanka's electric shock ( Street Fighter Alpha 3). It's up to you, really.

That's kind of what I meant by "formulating", I meant coming up with the ideas for the stuff I was going to sprite, rather than just sketching out something with no forthought. I start drawing once I have the idea for what I am doing down. I've actually stated on a new idle stance, and will post it once I finish. Thanlks for the sprite sheet links though, they should be helpful.

that's...that's hair? I thought it was a helmet...
you're -still- using the wrong white, the hands need to be outlined (both for sake of style and for making them noticeable at all), the eyes are still squares and the colors are still too dark. You should also really look up examples of explosions and figure out how they work, because you're just kind of winging it with random "textures" that don't make sense.

Just gonna go with a traditional arms-out stance I think.

That works, and you could make the hands turn round one way or the other (in a screwing in motion or something), whilst the arms bob slightly. Make any feature that's 1Px thick 2px, it won't be seen on the screen otherwise!

How about some bounce in the leg?
Also, unless I recall incorrectly, wouldn't your character have a dark yellow color for the outline since he's bright? Just the lightbulb part of course.
make rozencrantz rake the leaves
