I tried your tutorial with Met He should be perfect now, so squishing and stretching are controlled by the z axis how interesting Smile

I only gave you the part of the tutorial on Squishing/Stretching. Yes, he does look much better. However, there's still a bit of skewing left. By tomorrow I'll have the second half ready to give you.

I read your Skewing Tutorial as well there both great tutorials you should put them up on the forums for people that need help as well,

Here's Met again his Skewing should be gone now Smile

It looks a lot better, yes, but there is still noticeable skewing. It's only really apparent in the brim of his hardhat and his shoes. Also, here's a couple more tips.

-If you haven't been doing so already, viewing your model in wireframe mode is a great way to check for stretching/skewing errors.
-Remember to check your model from the front, top, and side. While a model might look fine in one angle, looking at it from a different angle can reveal previously obscured issues.

i have tried viewing the model in wireframe mode already, just tried what you said about looking at the model at all angles ,

hope this is perfect now Smile

man GiFTPiA models are Bizarre character designs this is probably the main reason i'm having trouble with the skewing with these models -.-

I think you might have misunderstood and skewed him in the wrong direction. He was better the previous time.

Yeah, the characters are quirky. For all I know, some of what looks like skewing could just be how the model actually is.

Here's a In game screenshot of Met i just used photoshop to get rid of the background is all Tongue

I think you need to study the tutorial more, senjen. There's some noticeable skewing going on with Anne, to the point that you can notice it from the preview image.

Dang that suck's i don't think can get met any better than post #138 Sad i'll try to learn the tutorial more

also i read awhile back online somewhere that if you open the .obj in notepad and change the x,y,z scales to 1.0
It is usually at the beginning and it looks something like this:
CODE: SELECT ALL
#AR=3.92157, FOV=21.03167(height), Xscale:0.72794, Yscale:0.18562, Zscale:1.0
#**************************************************

Give them all the same value, and you shouldn't see any more skewing.
(this is for the "Also capture Wavefront .obj"

does this method actually work?

Edit Fixed Anne this should look Perfect now Smile

Admittedly, I don't know enough about the OBJ format, but that doesn't sound like something that would work. The models are skewed in the OBJ because that's how the ripper interpreted, and that's how they were exported into the OBJ.

Anne looks good for the most part, however there is still some skewing in the axis she's facing in (XY plane, if Z is "up"). It's hard to notice on most of the parts, so use her neck as a reference. Also, be sure to rotate her a bit first so that her feet are flat. If you skew her before rotating her, you'll end up skewing part of her due to her rotated.

Did as you instructed for Anne

Nicely done. Anne is perfectly acceptable. Now you just need to go back and fix the rest. Smile

Yay you did it senjen! I knew you could. Big Grin
I must say that your determination is extremely admirable. Anyone who is willing to keep trying and trying again like that no matter how much they fail is truly something to be commended on.
