Starturds, I have contacted the staff for you about this thread's first post.

It appears that you have hit the post's size limit (the amount of text data inside the post is over 65335 bytes). You'll need to tone down on the number of characters either by using shorter image links (min.us is a good alternative), as well as making a single file with all the graphics instead of uploading each graphic as a separate file. There's nothing much else to do. Sorry.

Hey Starturds, I actually have a question. By now, I'm quite sure you've noticed that there are holo and regular versions of the same exact card.

When encountering this, do I just use the non-holo version? Or will I eventually need to edit a copy of the original PO of that card into a holo one (meaning that both the regular and holo versions are required)? :o

Also, if we're putting the cards into one image, I got a good idea for an interface design to put the art in. I'll work on it when I get to a computer; doing this because I feel like it. Probably best to have one image per card set (i.e. Neo Genesis would get its own separate image of all its card art).

Oh right, and some of the cards kinda need redone. XD ex: Genesis Marill, Discovery Smeargle, Genesis Heracross)

Gors: Ah well, I guess it can't be helped. In any case, thanks for addressing my question and for the advice!

Jetters: I have all of my cards uploaded to my Photobucket, so what I think I'll do is create a joint Photobucket account. I'll give all the major spriters access to it so they can upload their works.

I suppose what I'll end up doing is making a "sheet" for each expansion and putting that in the spoiler tag. I'll figure out how to reference stock images later. But you guys know I'm always open to suggestions, so fire away!

On the subject of non-holo variants: It seems that the spriters for GB1 and GB2 always did the holo version of a card. I, for one, usually do whichever version I first see. However, for cards with really nice backgrounds that would otherwise be blotted out by holography (unlike in the modern expansions, where holography is laid down more lightly so that the background is still visible) I do the non-holo version. For example, Expedition Mew and Feraligatr, Neo Discovery Hitmontop and Wobbuffet, etc. But like I always say, it's up to you!

As for redoing those cards, I would leave that decision up to the original spriters, in this case, Yo-Yo Boy and Kyleglor. For me it's just a matter of courtesy; although these are sprites based off of preexisting art, I still consider them art, and being quite fond of drawing, I have always had this thing about having the utmost respect for other people's works. So, it's really just a matter of courtesy, you know? I will, however, get in touch with the both of them and ask them about redos.

I think that about covers all my thoughts on the subjects presented today. I'm going to get to overhauling the OP's complete structure tomorrow, and might post another sprite before tonight ends. But for now, cheers!

Ha ha, I know you meant redoing them from scratch. That's what I had in mind as well, and basically what I do when I update card sprites. But still, they made the original sprite, so I still feel they should be the ones to decide.

Also, I'm currently working on a bit of table HTML to put the sprite card art in. Originally I had started making a sheet in GraphicsGale for them, but that got to be a big hassle. =_=

Awesome! Yeah, I noticed that a lot of his later works were like 10 times better, since like everyone has improved within the duration of the project and all that.

Also, I'm going to call off my current reservations; since I'll be taking a while to make those tables, I don't want to hog up three cards that I probably won't get to for a while. Especially if there's anyone else that wants to do them.

Edit: One little thing I forgot! In your table for Gym Heroes, you left out the image box's contents for Misty's Seel, resulting in all of the boxes being shifted over to the right. Just that one little mistake. But aside from that it's awesome.

Also, for Speed-X: the only card that was cut off from the Vending Series section was Tangela. As for the Black Star Promos section (which was cut off in its entirety) the cards that were in it were Scizor, Hitmontop, Sunkern, Eevee, Squirtle, Unown J, Psyduck, and Porygon.

Man, making this post over mobile was quite the challenge.

Edit: Oh, I forgot! Electabuzz was also a promo card.

Edit: Gah, I must have been making all these slip-ups because I was tired... Tangela wasn't cut off (apparently the whole Vending Series section was kept intact), the only problem was that the actual sprite for Ooyama's Pikachu was cut off.
