There are a tonne of Kirby characters that could work, but unless there is an absolutely massive increase in characters next time around, three is enough.

You know, I'm not sure why I put the Kirby series up there. There's literally nobody else who matters from it.

Sure there is. It's just that the other significant characters would either make a terrible playable character or aren't quite significant enough to deserve a playable spot.

I think stuff like Dr. Mario, Paper Mario, Mr. L, etc. should be just alt. costumes.

I dunno, Metroid is kind of a debatable one. We have Samus AND ZSS. The story is all about Samus. There is no supporting cast to speak of, except the other hunters and they're all flat with no personality and no one is more important than another.
So right now, Metroid has good representation, I'd say.

Second most reoccurring character.
Villain. Tough. Awesome.

Make Ridley playable and someone else a boss.


...BTW, Pico is still better than Goroh.

Ridley would be the second choice, but there's nothing he could do that Charizard isn't already doing right now.

I'm sure people could have said the same about Jigglypuff and Kirby. Just because a character has similar traits to another doesn't mean they are going to be the same. I'd say Ridley has great potential, highly requested, and very VERY important to the Metroid franchise.

Except Kirby and Jigglypuff are nothing alike. They both have multiple jumps, but that's where the similarities end.
