Not so much shading errors, but ML has a very bouncy, smooth, and circular lineart design.

This uses none of that. Just because someone uses the palette doesn't qualify it as a certain style. I could take your avatar and recolor it with the Minish Cap palette, but would that make it MC style? No. Besides, the character isn't even from M&L. He's from Paper Mario.
