Except Kirby and Jigglypuff are nothing alike. They both have multiple jumps, but that's where the similarities end.

Exactly! I'm saying they're nothing alike, beyond being pink puffs. It's the same thing with Charizard and Ridley. They are fire breathing dragons but that doesn't mean they are going to be the same character.

though tbqh ganondorf is so different from cap now that they play like two different characters

Mario- Geno. Give the people what they want!
Zelda- ...None, to be honest.
Metroid- Ridley. How can -- after 3 Smash Bros games -- Samus still be the sole representative of her series?
Star Fox- Krystal
Kirby- Gooey! Also, in my dreams, Sir Kibble.
Donkey Kong- King. K Rool
F-Zero- Whoever that anti-hero in the 'Falcon Punch' meme was that got Punched with a force great enough to spark an explosion that could be seen on a galactic scale.
Mother- Masked Man
Fire Emblem- Friends for Ike to fight for.
Wario- Not a fan of Wario, myself. He should be in the Mario series IMO.
Yoshi Island- That weird Kangaroo thing in Yoshi's Island DS!
3rd Party- Classic Mega Man.

Ganondorf and Toon Link are not 'clones' any more than Luigi is a clone of Mario. At that point the difference between a 'clone' and a 'luigified clone' becomes a matter of splitting hairs, though.

Ganondorf is, as you say, a "luigified clone" that's still the same but different enough to be played like a different character. Toon Link is the EXACT SAME aside from different sounds, floatier jumps, and the fact that he's shorter. They even have the same final smash.

Falco, on the other hand, is sort of in the middle of Ganondorf and TL. He plays the same as fox, but his moves are just different enough NOT to be the exact same.

Zelda- FD Link, in some form. Bring Young Link back with Mask Powers.
Metroid- None. Samus is the only character in the series that matters and/or has any sort of a story. The rest of the characters in the game are NPCs, tbqh.
Star Fox- Krystal all the way.
Kirby- None really, but if I had to choose, it'd be the Fighter character.
Donkey Kong- None, because there are enough already. If I had to choose though it'd be King K. Rool.

For one he is the leader of the Space Pirates.

And more importantly, if it wasn't for Ridley, Samus wouldn't be who she is today. Ridley KILLED Samus' parents, making her an orphan. Ridley is like the driving force behind Samus' past. He matters a lot!

Yeah. And Roy will probably never appear in another Fire Emblem game ever etc etc arguing about Smash Bros. is pretty much the lowest form of low this Internets has brought.

I've never played a metroid game before but this sounds believable

But Ridley does sound like an important character, but even so at the size of him in brawl as a boss, they would have to shrink him quite a lot to be considered as a competetent, but he would work

They could shrink him down to the size he was in Super Metroid. In fact, Ridley wasn't really all that big until Metroid Fusion.

Not only did Ridley kill Samus's parents and destroyed her first home, he helped destroy her home on Zebes, stole the Metroid larva, etc. He's almost like Samus's eternal rival!

BTW, Pico is still better than Goroh.

Unfortunately for you, Toon Link is the new Young Link. But I'd rather have them both gone. I'm not fond of alternate versions of essentially the same character.

That's why I say no Paper Mario, no Baby Mario, no 8-Bit Mario, no Wolf Mario, no Toon Mario, and no Landmaster Mario.
