you being Portuguese doesn't justify your lack of knowledge in 8-bit, but I'll stop this here.

I only suggest you to work on something more elaborated, because those small sprites are barely (if not) readable and poses little to no effort at all. Stop using 8-bit as an excuse to undetailed work.

I can definitely see that you made that in the time between Gors' latest post and yours. You seem to rush it for the sake of posting something.
Spending a couple of minutes doesn't magically translate to hours of work. Take your time. This is just a couple of straight line, unshaded colors and a head I fail to figure out it's even a head.
Try something bigger that is actually a challenge, with some dynamic. Give it a pose; it doesn't have to be complicated, but don't let it be a plank like this one. Give it curves, give it shading, give it form.
If you get stuck, here's a glossary with do-s and don't-s: http://www.spriters-resource.com/communi...?tid=13868 and if that doesn't help you, the internet is your oyster.
Your a long way from reaching the stars, but you're not going anywhere if you aren't reaching for them.

now let's dissect this sprite, shall we?

first of all, I don't know what you meant by 'Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga'. Does that mean this sprite is supposed to be M&L styled? Or is the character from the game, and you sprited him?

Whichever the case, your sprite still needs a ton of work. First of all, the body is completely stiff. No one has bodies as straight as a ruler or a stick, and stands by pointing his feet in opposite directions. There is no attention to anatomy at all and no good shading is seen to give him some volume. You need to work harder in your outlines. If you had a little notion of anatomy, you'd draw the limbs/body with some structure and perspective.

The face is also completely unreadable. The shades are dull and I can't even understand what's happening with his face.

He attempted at the style, There's no clown in that game, I've played that game to death.(Literally, the cartridge doesn't work anymore.)

Ninja'd, wanted to put some input on this but Gors got to it first.

also, you uploaded your sprite as a .jpg, which gave it horrible jpeg artifacts and made the sprite unreadable. basically, don't use photobucket if your sprites are .bmps. upload them imgur or imageshack instead.

People at tSR are always happy to help but if they feel the advice being given isn't being taken on-board people will stop helping.
If you're not sure what someone is saying (spriting is a language in itself) always feel free to ask. Most people are more than happy to explain a point until the cows come home if it means improving your work.
