The bikes on MKW were kinda offensive and unbalanced. They made no sense and there wasn't really any reason to not use them, I was glad when 7 didn't have them. Wii has, somehow, shitty item balance and I can't even remember why, but it's borderline frustrating and not fun. If I had to say something good about MKW though is the music, it's actually one of the most memorable, ironically. Also I think Double Dash spoiled me somehow, because Wii (and 7) look ugly regarding characters and animations, the courses are beautiful, but the actual racers...ugh

The racers in Double Dash didn't look that great either as far as I can recall
Though I will admit the music of Wii is pretty great. Toad's Factory is best.

Then again Retro Studios helped out with the game so no wonder it's fantastic
I somewhat agree. I just think it's the New Super Mario Bos. games that are blanding up the place. Once the the real 3D Mario game come out for the Wii U, I expect some very interesting environments.
I don't like Mario Kart that much. Well, it's more fun than most racing games but when the racing is hampered by red shells and a fuckload of other items raping you in the ass, it starts to lose the definition of 'racing'.
though I enjoy the music of all the iterations, even the GBA one. I wish Soyo Oka still worked for nintendo though :<

This is what I mean by the decline in properly built competitive racing, and too much of a focus on items in the new games.

The reason for that, according to developers, they want to make it so that inexperienced players can win against experienced ones. So yeah, they punish people in first place and reward people in last place. That way everyone is equal...
It's Communist Racing!

That's what handicap options are for, so you can choose whether "inexperienced players" should have an advantage or not.
I know that some "inexerienced players" don't really appreciate it to know that they only won because the system did them a favour. Besides, how much fun is a competitive game when experience does not matter?

Exactly. Nintendo misses the point. If you lose, you just keep trying until you get better. All this hand-holding crap is horrid in single player games... but it's even worse in a competitive one!

Hey guys, we can all play. The new rules make me as good as you! RIGHT ON!
Honestly with Multiplayer it doesn't bother me, because fuck it, I'm playing with friends, we're all experienced players so we just endlessly screw each other over. Now single player, that's where I can't stand it, why am I being punished with 5-6 blue shells each track? On Easy it's just annoying, because I can easily catch up, but on hard it's ridiculous, it's pretty dang hard to catch up in that.
I've owned a Wii since release day and the only games i've enjoyed are Mario galaxy 2, Skyward sword and Twilight Princess (But i prefer the GCN version of that). Kinda wanna check out Zak and Wiki, MH and Xenoblade but i find it very had to put up with the Wii's graphics on an HD TV, so i might have to find an old standard def to play on.
Honestly with all the praise Xenoblade got, i'm suprised you left it out of your list poopaul.

I didn't bother because everyone has heard of it. But who has heard of Excitebots?

I don't have a specific order for my list, just a list of Wii games I like...
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Super Paper Mario
Super Smash Brothers BRAWL
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Ummm
I have more... I Think.... Well, I'll eventually play Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon.
