Tool recommendations?

Emma, go to View -> Block Size -> Custom, put the settings as Columns=2/Rows=2, that will help you a lot.
Doofenshmirtz: This is a little bit awkward but have you seen my escape jet keys? (Perry nods) What, you have? Well that's great! So where are they? (Perry looks away) You won't tell me? Is this because you don't speak or are you just being a jerk?

dkhgfkdj thank you deathbringer that actually helped a lot! i mean they're still all incomplete but it's more like quarters now.

although now it looks like the only item tiles are ones for attack animations of weapons S I G H i just want the sprites for consumables is that so much to ask

That's weird. I couldn't spot anything in the LZ-compressed chunks, either (though I don't know if that program I use finds them all etc.).

However, you can still rip them using VBA. There's cheats for all items (or I could send you a savestate or save file), so you'd just have to go through the item lists. I'd suggest using the map viewer (BG3) as it would get you the items with their correct palettes, plus you'd save four items at once - then you'd just need to cut them out (I suggest IrfanView to do that batch-automated) and rearrange them on a sheet.

Just open IrfanView, go to "File" -> "Batch Conversion / Rename". A window opens, select "Batch conversion" in the top left, PNG as file type below, check "Use advanced options...", click the "Advanced" button. Select "CROP" at the top left, enter the position values (here, X 24, Y 16, W 16, H 64), "Left top". The rest should be unchecked. "Ok", select your files on the top right, select an output directory and "Start batch".
