Um.. The engine doesn't seem very solid. The test room doesn't really test the capabilities, it seems to actually be designed to avoid the visibility of glitches. Samus seems really floaty and the controls are really awkward. It seems like you put a ton of energy into animations and rushed the rest. The graphics are really all over the place and the resolution is uncomfortably high for the size of the sprites. Please try to avoid stretched and resized graphics, they don't really work. Also, I would try to avoid all of the gradients and the very odd looking buttons, it just doesn't seem very professional... The concept seems interesting but I'm not sure what foundation you have at the moment. From personal experience I would suggest:
-Take your time. I know how ambitious some people can get and will rush a game just to say that they made a game.
-Don't get ahead of yourself. Trust me, I have great experiences with this. Don't take on a huge project for a first. Work you way up with smaller ones.
-Be open to constructive criticism. You need it to truly improve. When reading the game description, the fact that it ended with this:
Quote:NO BAD COMMENTS
Really makes me feel kind of uneasy. It is your game and you always have the final say, but other's comments can really help make your final product better.
yea don't be like that. like I said before we aren't out to get you or be mean. if we don't tell you what is wrong it won't be a very good game.
but... I'm honestly confused. this is Super Smash Saga or whatever, right? why would a Smash Bros. game play like Pokémon game that is apparently supposed to have Samus in it? if you could elaborate that'd clear up a lot and would help us make suggestions for it.
bear in mind I have not played it, just throwing a few base suggestions out to start.

Maybe he wants a story type thing like Brawl had, with an overworld like Pokemon? Then the fights would transition to a 2D sidescolling plane? That's all I can think of.

That would a bit more like how some tactics games (Fire Emblem, Soul Nomad) have a side view battle animation when attacking. Except in this case would be you actually fight them? That would be cool.

Three things:
1: I want to make a Pokèmon STYLE RPG. With an overworld like pokemon, battles like pokemon, and a custom storyline.
2:By NO BAD COMMENTS, I ment comments that make fun of the game. not telling me whats wrong with the game.
3: The downloadable version right now is not how it is in the current progress of the game.
Thats all.
Also, haven't we ALL wanted an SSB RPG?

Hey, could you please add more information into the first post? As the Game Dev Section Rules state, you should have some content to show and just linking off-site isn't really the nice way. How about you put in whatever you have: Story, Characters, some screenshots of the beta (instead of an oversized shot of something else); what makes your game special and all that fancy stuff people would like to read before they decide to click a link and download a thing.
Thanks.

According to the 6th post of kuzon ( hate quotes :p )
i'm wondering why would you make a game similar to pokemon style , people might not see it well and find it as a copy of pokemon , unless you're preparing it very good :p
