Honestly, I don't see the problem with Wii Fit Trainer. I just wished they wouldn't reveal such an out-of-left-field character so soon; those types work better as hidden unlockables.

Also, since Ton mentioned him: Paper Mario would be a great addition; best thing is, he's got enough going for him to be entirely different from Flesh Mario™.

Wii Fit Trainer is about as much of a character as Game and Watch and R.O.B. If you think of it like that, she's a much more welcomed addition to the cast.

Mr Game and Watch was not even a character until he was brought into Melee, the Game and Watch games just used generic people-shapes and Nintendo brought one particular shape over to make a character.

Honestly the trainer sounds really dumb now but I can see myself playing as her. If anything I think it's hilarious

Game & Watch and R.O.B are actually rather charming, while the Wii Fit lady is just... I don't know.
