"It Gets Better, I Promise": The games you like that everyone hates thread

In Sonic 06, Mephiles is probably the EASIEST idea to criticize.

Having seen larger playthroughs of the game after many years since I've even seen the game face to face, I CAN understand why some people defend the game. However, I don't agree with them, and it's easy to see why the majority of players don't agree either.

You like what you like, though.

There once was a time when I liked Divekick and everyone else hated it.

oh shit I'm a hipster

Otherwise, it's pretty uncommon for me to even play games I've not heard others praise, so it's rare that I'll like a game that everyone else hates.

Kirby Air Ride, Star Fox Adventures, and Custom Robo!? Those games are good fun! Especially Air Ride, City Trial mode...just...so much fun for some reason...

My real pick is Rambo for the NES. I don't think I've ever even seen a Rambo movie, so maybe that's one reason why I'm not biased or whatever about it's inaccuracies and stuff? Anyway, it plays a lot like Zelda 2: Adventures of Link, you have a short range weapon (but it's supposed to be a knife, unlike Link's "sword") you gain levels, but you have ammo weapons instead of spells and stuff. It's got some funky portraits, and an awkward save feature (you can get passwords from any cutscene, and continue from there) but there's just something fun about it.
And the main stage theme:

I dunno about you, but I love that song.

Whenever I see this game brought up, it's because it's getting bashed.

Whaa??
Everyone I've asked has loved Sunshine! I think it's really great (even if I am godawful at it. multitasking is not my forte)

Mega Man X6. It's cheap difficult, it's horribly translated, but it had good ideas. And I FRACKING LOVE THAT SOUNDTRACK.

I've never heard of anyone disliking that game o.o. Except, maybe the Wii version. You know, many gamers prefer traditional controllers, rather than motion-control based combat.

It never gets any love when people talk about their favorite zelda. and then I tell them that its a much better OOT than OOT is and thats when the buttmad really flows.

spirit tracks is a ds game i would play all the time. i love the soundtrack and how it was better than phantom hourglass. the only reason people dislikes sp is because it had the same problem the wind waker had.

to me, traveling in the train was very calm. Cool

Well those people are wrong. There were Islands everywhere to explore for stuff like larger wallet/more arrows/bombs/etc, they had sharks that would attack, the treasure hunting, outposts, and on and on. If you couldn't find something to explore, you were doing it wrong, and even then, it was so fun just sailing the open sea, kind of like you said with the trains, it was very relaxing, and the music was the series best yet.

EDIT: I'm kind of defensive when it comes to Windwaker, it's my favorite Zelda game by far, Tongue

I have never been a big Zelda fan, but so far Minish Cap wins simply because I have only beaten that and OOT

Amazing Island! Very challenging at times when it comes to the water skidding game and the constant thumb aching pressing race.

All the StarFox comments remind me that I've had some really fun times with Command and Assault, despite the pair being pretty much spat upon.

And I liked the ground missions!
