yeah, everyone says that. EB is clearly my main inspiration for the sprites, because I really love the wacky stuff going on those games

I'm pretty sure you're still working on it, so as a constructive criticizer, I'd say it just needs smothered out more in a few parts(the scarf for example). It's almost prefect looking.

He looks too cheeky and his eyes look too thin, vertically speaking. His nose is too low on his face.

I can place the nose a pixel higher but will not change the cheek or eye, my intention is not to replicate the original artwork.

this one below is a challenge of pixelling 24x24 sprites, 6 colors each, for food. I'm making in alphabetical order, one per each letter.

I forgor this one, a revamp of NinspriterX's halloween characters. Mine in the bottom left corner

The only things I'm noticing is that the fourth sprite on the food sheet is kind of hard to read from a distance, maybe just me? Also, Gilberts legs look somewhat odd too. The way the legs bend, or the way the waist kind of puffs out in the back slightly.

The WIP looks really nice so far, though! Now I'm hungry too.

the doce de leite does look kinda unreadable, but I hope it's because of the background. I will put them against colorful squares when I'm done so that will fix it, I hope. About Gilbert's pose, that was a rushjob but I after the C+C I'm definitely reworking the pose and shading it

Bananabuco and Bodesechy.

It's a long story involving my friend Nabuco. Someone shopped his face into a man in a banana, and since then he has been associated with bananas.



As for Bodesechy, my another friend, Aragão, met a bricklayer who also painted walls. He'd sign his art as 'Bodesechy' which is supposed to mean 'Sexy Body'. Since 'bode' is portuguese for 'goat', Bodesechy ended up becoming a sexy goat enemy thing. Bricklayers in Brazil are often associated with poor pickup lines and as such, many image macros exist:


"Baby, are you a Business Administrator? Because you make my firm get bigger, you pretty thing!"


"Baby, you're not bird poop but you came from the sky!"

Because of this his main method of attacks are pickup lines that deal massive damage to the player.
