I wonder if the Xbox One's launch will interfere with the sales of the new Zelda 3DS and Super Mario 3D World. Normally, I'd say it definitely would cause some big time problems but Microsoft's botched the Xbox One so much pre-launch that I wonder if it will have that much of an impact.

that...sounds like the most fanboy fueled post ever
it's probably not going to interfere with the release at all, because you have people who want an xbone, people who want those nintendo games at launch, and people who want both. if a consumer wants both, they could probably get both. the real thing you want to pay attention to is the sales of the games for the xbone in comparison to other consoles (including the 360 itself) to think that the release of new games on a competitor's console would impact the launch numbers of a console itself is pretty silly; it's moreso so Nintendo can get the game out prior to America's Favorite Consumer Holiday (hint: it's after thanksgiving) Actually, if there's a midnight launch party for the XBOX near you, you could actually go in and pick up Zelda tonight, lol. You can be that guy.

Like Kosheh was saying, it doesn't matter if the Xbox One is released on the same day as Nintendo's latest games. The whole situation is like comparing apples and oranges because a console is completely different from games for another console. If the Xbox One was released on the same day as the Wii U, then competition is more than likely to occur. Even then, Nintendo has nothing to worry about because, in spite of having a long history of producing weaker consoles than its competitors, it has more console exclusives than any other competing console currently in the market. Everyone who supports Nintendo only care about their games, while the Xbox fans will continue to support Microsoft and play their sports games and FPS games. |
