Help, ripping PSP sprites.

Question
Hey guys, I've been trying to rip sprites from these 3 games, Yggdra Union, Blaze Union and Gloria Union. I first tried using GLintercept to take the 2Ds and..

It didn't go well, I can't use it to rip the sprites, they're incomplete even if you try to match the parts. Embarassed

So I tried going into the ISOs of all 3 games, and they all have a DATA.BIN file of about 18MB to 25MB and also each a specific data file of about 400MB in .afs, .cpk and .nds format.

So I'd assume the sprites would be in the DATA.BIN file? Or are they in the bigger files? If so, is there anything that allows me to properly explore those files to open them and snatch the sprites? (I tried using daemon tools and powerISO and they both keep telling me the BIN files are damaged or refuse to open them) Sorry if this seems a little too much to ask, but I've been searching for some time for a solution and came to a stop. The .bin is a generic name for a file; open it up in a hex editor and you'll see some actual information sometimes, but it's still rare...

I've looked into these games previously, but given up due to their complexities. I'll take another look a little later.

However, it should be mentioned; .cpk is a generic PSP container, and can be decompressed fairly easily. A number of different methods to do this; you can use a QuickBMS script for it, or download an application called Noesis. I'm sure there are a couple other programs that will do it, too.

I'll jump in and take a look for you later.

But most of all, nothing couldn't be solved when I'm with you

Well, I checked the cpk with both programs you said and Noesis keeps getting errors when trying to open it, while all the scripts for cpk I tried in QuickBMS just won't work.

I opened one of the data bins in a hex editor, I have no idea how to do it afterwards, I'm hopeless lol.

Ok, so I've had a little progress with Yggdra Union. It's bad news;
When compressing the game, the developers left no expense. All of the files have their blank graphic spaces removed. This means that lining everything up will take you years of work, unless you work out how the game calculates how these sprites are supposed to be put together. They've done a fantastic job in achieving their desired effect, and I predict they've reduced the space of these graphics by a fair few megabytes.

The only thing I've had any success in viewing are these cards:

And even these have the wrong palettes, I'm sure.

You're pretty much stuck here, I'm afraid.

The graphics format used is supposed to have the header of ".ptp", if this is of any help.
