I think the roster size is indeterminate. From what I gathered... They're not caring at all about the size, and just adding characters based on how many they can get in at full quality.
So it can be smaller OR bigger, depending on how long it takes for each, and if its possible to make them all great characters.
Which frankly, is the best way to go about it.

"Well he's not announced yet, so he must have been cut!"
There was a lot of that in regards to Captain Falcon last time around, too. Jigglypuff, Luigi, and Ness were also part of that boat.
I hope Sonic's inclusion doesn't reduce the chances of Dillon getting in... but they have the same prmary gimmick x.x;

I was under the impression they were keeping everyone from brawl and adding more characters to it.
Otherwise we'd of already heard by now apologizes about not putting Ike or Snake back in.

Sakurai already did apologize in case they didn't get every character from the last games in, he just didn't specify who. Odds are if you really looked hard he probably did the same for the characters who didn't return from Melee.

While Dillon and Sonic both roll around, Dillon also burrows, uses explosives, and claws his opponents. His Roll move would most likely be more like Jigglypuff's Rollout.

It's not weird to have Samus and Mega Man in the same game, so why would Sonic and Dillon.

What is Dillon from? That name doesn't sound familiar.

The protagonist of Dillon's Rolling Western, a game that came out on the e-Shop not long ago.

Well if we're getting hopeful, I've been pulling for Sukapon since Brawl

I wonder if this one will have DLC. I'd pay for a costume for the Pokemon Trainer to make him look like the Pokemon Conquest male hero, assuming he's added that is.

Sakurai stated he doesn't have any plans for DLC. Doesn't mean there won't be, but just that it isn't likely.

it's really cool actualy,
it's the final boss of the mii in misere minigame from mii plaza on the 3DS ( where you can collect hats by using other mii's of people you've met with streetpass )
i think mii might be a playble character

Dark Emperor!
Looks like either a boss or part of a Streetpass Quest/Find Mii stage, though it's the Ultimate Ghost's arena, since the cage is not present in the Dark Lord/Emperor fight.
Possible bosses so far: Yellow Devil, Ridley and Dark Emperor. Are they bosses or simply stage hazards... or both!?
