The Boss Theme from Mario and Luigi Dream Team!
good one, i wanted to incluce that one too.
i know i'm giving mother way more credit than it's probably going to get but; this is yet another great example why brawls mother series music was just so ''bad''. i'm really happy they've included snowman in brawl, but it wasn't fitting for fighting at all. but this version is! en it's owned by nintendo. why didn't they use this version?
edit: another cool mother related thing i thought of; magicant would make a cool stage.
it could say it takes place in '' an illusion in someones consciousness'' leaving the player to interpret it takes place in either maria's or ness her/his mind. it could look like a mix between magicant from mother 1 and 2. being surrounded with pink clouds, the pink shell houses but also the dali like objects. it would really show the psychedelic vibe of the games, and the well known goofy enemies from the franchise could make an appearance
places like this and the sea of eden ofcourse could he seen in the background, aswell as queen mary's castle maybe
and yes ofcourse when ness is selected, the battle takes place in alfonzo's mind

So I've been thinking about upcoming reveals, and I have some predictions based on very minimal evidence, more like betting than anything.
March: two veterans. I'm thinking Yoshi, as well as either Wario or Ike. MAYBE Zerp suit samus, but base on what I'm betting for April it might be a weird reveal window.
April: Ridley dawg. Either him or Palutena.
And by making these bets I can assure NONE will come true.
Yoshi for sure is coming up. For #2 I'm going to say... Ice Climbers.

Today's update is kind of weird. So apparently they're keeping in the generic Smash version of the stage in addition to the Lil' Mac version? Why? What's the point? Also what determines the change, as Mac isn't even present in the WVBA image?

The point probably falls under the fact that boxing rings are not exclusive to Mac. He also mentions that Dedede likes the ring.

Unless he's about to reveal that it can also have Dedede's logo on it, I don't think it matters to Dedede what the floor of his arena looks like.
Plus Dedede is shown on the WVBA one and not the generic one.

Stage alternate costumes confirmed.
Well, not really, but maybe this is a new feature that's still yet to be explained.

Isn't this like the most iconic Bowser theme ever or something?
They did.
It's in Melee.
It plays on the Main Menu. And also on Battlefield in Brawl.
Of all the things I didn't know until now I see this.
Does anyone have a comparison of the songs?

Hasn't that sorta been a thing? I read that you could change the style of a particular stage in a previous game by holding down a button, can't remember what it was though.
it's a little bigger than a "style" change, but wasn't there a way to influence whether you were played 1-1 or 1-2 when you selected Mushroomy Kingdom?

Mushroomy Kingdom has two "costumes", and Spear Pillar has three. I forget the mechanics of selecting the version, though. I do know it was randomly selected when the stage was chosen normally.

I've got a feeling this is simply a "special feature" of this stage, but it does bring to mind things I really REALLY would love to see.
1. More stages that have altered traits, either by characters being there, being selected or being random. Could be as little as a reskin, like the Boxing Ring appears to be. Picture that Mario Galaxy level taking place on one of Bowser's galaxies with a lot more Bowser related stuff happening in the background.
2. Customizable stages, where various elements (Time of day, reskinning, frequency or existence of stage hazards, etc) can be altered to a certain degree. Picture being able to make the Boxing Stage have a Dedede motif instead and have the crowd be Waddle Dees.
I have a feeling its more of a "Special Feature" kind of thing, though, just like Alfonzo's appearance on the Spirit Tracks stage seems like a special feature limited to that stage.

Or they could finally add a Bowser's Castle stage. Good grief, isn't it the most logical thing to do?
I wouldn't think much about the ring thing. As was stated, it's probably one of the gimmicks of the stage, just like Smashville changes with the time of day and day of the week and Mushroomy Kingdom scrolls through different SMB stages.

I'm not sure I understand what today's update means exactly. Does this mean the rapid basic attacks are out altogether?
