How to create music.
#1
Hey there, I have been trying to learn how to create music.
I want to try and replicate 8-bit style music, that means learning the limitations and capabilities that the original NES could handle. At this point, I am not certain on what program(s) to use, and I am not sure on any other resources needed for this. Any help and tips will be appreciated.

Famitracker.
It replicates the NES' sound chip (and can even export a file that allows it to play from an emulator or real NES) so you get authentic music.

Gorsal is our resident expert, and Lexou and Recolorme are really good at it too.

Clicking on the link sends me a new tab with the message from the website saying that it's down for maintenance.
