What are you playing?
Just beat Super Metroid (6:47, 67% item completion) for the first time. Metroid is a series that I've always had around, but it was never anything I ever played to win. I think I've played the first five minutes of Metroid on NES a thousand times, and while those five-thousand minutes were spectacular, I was more entranced with other franchises.

What a fool I've been!

I will definitely be picking up Metroid Fusion once I have the scratch.

In progress :
- Final Fantasy 2 on GBA
- Final Fantasy 3 on Android
- Final Fantasy 4 on Android

Once I finish these ones, I already bought FF4: The After Years and FF Dimensions for Android.

As we are going to bégin camping season, I'll mostly play when I'm away in pour 5thwheel trailer, for thèse games don't need internet connection and wifi is weak there.

I've never been very good with any Metal Slug game I've tried to play, and I thought maybe this would change with PC version of Metal Slug 3. It didn't really, but for some reason I'm having a lot more fun than I remember having with any other MS game. It's good to have a game that I can just charge through, shooting anything I see while trying to dodge anything that looks dangerous. Co-op is a blast too. The fact that I can rarely get through the first mission without using a continue (and the second without using 10) makes it seem like it's way harder than it ought to be, but I realised last night that this is probably intentional since the original goal of the arcade version was to devour coins.

All the same, I'd be thankful if anyone could confirm for me that it is normal to die that often.

Metal Slug 3 is pretty easy to one-credit minus the last level - which is super hard and longer than the rest of the game (no exaggeration). Metal Slug 3 is probably the hardest of the 'fair' Metal Slug games (4 and 5 are unfair and the less we talk about 6, 7 and XX the better) but as long as you keep your Slug until the end and make sure you have a lot of bombs for the bosses (that damn robot...) it's not too hard to get a good way in before taking a hit. Learning which branches in the level to take also helps a lot. As much as it might be fun to ride an ostrich it normally leads in death.

Although Super is pretty much the perfect Metroid game (only aging slightly) thanks to it's sheer grand-ness I also recommend Zero Mission. It's pretty short but fun to replay. Fusion is a bit of a mix bag, it's a good game but the linear story/progression is a bit jarring.

I've been playing Dark Souls 2 pretty solidly. Like the first one, it took me a while to get over the difficulty hump at the start, especially with all the tiny things they changed that were enough to throw me off my game. I think I'm relatively close to the end now.

I'm actually getting involved in the online stuff a little more now, since it's much improved from Dark Souls' PC port... Well, I do co-op on the bosses to get sun medals, but I'm kind of avoiding invasions and stuff since I'm still getting the "stab you from several feet away while not even touching you" syndrome from the first Dark Souls.

Got to the final boss of Child of Light so should be done with that soon.
Also playing through Beyond. I dunno, it's kinda dull. Kinda wish I didn't listen to someone's recommendation now... *cough*Dazz*cough*

I've resumed playing wind Waker (WiiU) after a few months of playing nothing but Dark Souls. For the first hour I was trying to block with the L trigger and lock onto enemies by clicking the right stick.

I started playing Croc for the original PlayStation not long ago (I had been playing Other M, but then my saves were all erased and I don't feel like retreading immediately). So far good fun, but my memory card seems to be having trouble saving. Might need to get a new one Very Sad

Homebrew mishap.

I've got everything sorted out for the most part... Just also have an excuse to replay a bunch of things.

Been playing Pokemon FireRed, the first remake I've played. It's nostalgic and familiar, yet different. Just went into the S.S. Anne.

Also Mark of the Ninja. I started a while back, up to the fifth or sixth level (can't remember). Been playing more Paper Mario: Sticker Star as well, once you get used to the sticker system it's quite enjoyable.

And of course Hearthstone Wink

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the future. Still haven't worked out some of the mechanics but it's pretty good fun!
