How is there any way to be disappointed you get to use the fucking controller, jeezus flipping christ
Justice, men, had been done on the following day. JUSTICE Hungrybox puts that friggin hipster-ass coward in his place :< Thanked by: Kriven, psychospacecow
Quote:How is there any way to be disappointed you get to use the fucking controller, jeezus flipping christ It could sync to the Wii U itself? But I think the reason it hooks into the Wiimote is so it can be used with Brawl/Mario Kart Wii/etc., so I'm cool with that.

It does seem an unusual choice, I would have expected it to be a reshaped WiiU pro controller rather than a Wiimore-reliant add on. But, I'm okay with this.
Hopefully the triggers are still actual triggers (they look like it) and not buttons. I honestly don't know why Nintendo dropped genuine triggers after GC. Thanked by: Kriven

I'm wondering deeply now. If this GameCube pad is a Wiimote slap-on now, doesn't that mean analog shoulder triggers wouldn't be a thing anymore? Therefore making a few titles for possible GC Virtual Console impossible?

Not necessarily...?
I'm pretty sure the classic controller and the gamecube controller work more or less the same way as far as the wii is concerned, so it must just consider the non-analogue L and R buttons to be fully on or fully off. Considering that gamecube controllers still work as normal on the wii, the analogue function still has to be in there somewhere, though probably just unused on the newer controllers. Hey, it's not like this is the first time out-of-place technology appeared in Zelda. Besides, with the introduction of the Ancient Robots, it just goes to show you what kind of technology could appear in this game series. Still, that thing Link was fighting looked a little too unnatural for most Zelda games, so here's another theory on what the next game could be about. What if Link has to defend Hyrule from alien invaders or something? Considering that Sci-fi hasn't been really touched at all in the franchise, I think it would be very interesting.
