This is an actual character I had

This guy is Bronze Yoshi [drawn by LunaYoshi - told you I was a part of that community ):]
That's him. Literally a bronze Yoshi.
His skin is not a really good suntan but he is literally made of bronze. Metallic, shiny bronze.
What the actual hell. It dawned upon me literally this week that this character's internal organs would collapse upon themselves given the weight of his skin, and that he would literally not be able to jump because he'd be all dead weight. also HOW DOES THIS CHARACTER NOT RUST

I have quite a bit actually, and they're all great. There's one drawing still hanging on my fridge ; I'll post that one at least when I get a chance

nintendo will have to give me royalties if they insert my OC into the game. thanks nintendo =)

So someday if/when I become a published author someone is going to find it and shame me with it and that thought terrifies me

I couldn't do NSFW fan art. All my beloved characters are too cartoony and innocent. It would just be weird.

I can't do NSFW fan art either. Mostly because I suck at anatomy so it'd all look weird and not erotic in the slightest.

I have some nsfw things I've made that I accidentally rediscovered on my old pc, I cringed so hard while looking through it, it was like a train wreck, I couldn't look away...

(I do have a bunch of other nsfw things I made that aren't cringe worthy and I don't regret making those but that special folder...)

That's actually part of my shame. I didn't even start doing it until I was eighteen.

Granted, that largely had to do with the fact that prior to leaving for college I barely had any experience with the internet whatsoever.

I made a Super Mario Board Game. Got a big poster and drew all the spaces.

I guess everyone has to get fanworks out of their system at some point. Or try to, at least.

I made plenty of Final Fantasy 4, Earthbound and Zelda fanart in elementary school, but they were more on the level of kid doodles. I remember "writing" a "comic book" with Mario and friends in first grade, too. I think that still exists somewhere. And in second grade I got pretty good at drawing Arwings. Never did anything fanwork related after I finished school though. Unless you want to count Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.

Why stop making fan works? Just because you can now make original works doesn't mean you have to stop fan works.
