Aw man.
I really miss how, in SSB and SSBM, the game stopped entirely once the match ended. It made stuff like this epic and priceless, dunno if that's just me. Thanked by: Baegal

Was this posted? This should be posted. It's a translation of a recent magazine scan

Oh boy! I had a feeling we'd see something epic today, and even though this is not a character reveal or anything, this might be potentially awesome if this stage works the way I predict.
That is to say, I have a feeling what's going to happen here is we're going to see scenes from various old school Game Boy games. Kirby's Dream Land and Mario Land are definite musts. Maybe we'll see stuff from the 1994 Donkey Kong, the Kid Icarus sequel, or Return of Samus? Though the latter might have some size issues ... Since it's Smash we're pretty much limited to platformers so it's unlikely we'll see the likes of Mole Mania or Pokemon, but Link's Awakening has some side scrolling bits so it's plausible. But best of all this is a great opportunity to show off some Game Boy franchises that don't even have representation in Smash. I can't think of anything useable off the top of my head right now, but I'm sure other people have a million ideas ...

If they're going to throw in the Gameboy, why not throw the Wario Land series a bone? A stage based on Music Box Island where Rudy the Clown pops out of nowhere would be awesome!

That was a Gameboy Color game so I doubt it would be showcased on that stage. Wario Land 1 might.

I'm just glad that this SSB is more referencing Nintendo's history more evenly. SSBB seemed to focus more on games that were relevent at the time, as far as stages and trophies go anyways.

Also glad to see Dedede and Kirby retained their GB palettes.

Looks like they just turned on the Sepia filter. Not that it's bad or anything, but it would've been awesome if they actually looked 8-bit.

That's definitely not a filter. Dedede has the same colour alt in Brawl, Kirby isn't even sepia, but black and white, and if it was a filter, Dedede's hammer would be sepia as well
