It makes more sense to me that in the future you can surround your PAWWWWWWNCHES or because he was a legendary bounty hunter he can just gawt damn do that with fire than a dog getting a gun just because it was a part of the game he was in, and something he didn't even use.

Is the year ever mentioned in Duck Hunter? It could be a post apocalyptic America a thousand years in the future for all we know

I'm just not following, really. Ness is in that same boat, using the attacks of other characters from his game, because he is the mascot but himself had no applicable moves. These aspects were united. I think Sakurai even talked about doing this with Robin.
Why is DHD's abilities being based on the central aspect of the game unreasonable? Edit: I suppose what I really want to know isn't whether or not you find it stupid, but why you think it makes him ineligible as a character given the precedent for similar situations with a large number of other Smash Bros. characters.

Gwen, I don't mean to be rude, but at this point you're really just bitching for the sake of bitching. It's fine if you don't like the DHD as a possible fighter but dude you're not even making any sense.

Okay I am for a moment going to ignore all my doubts and just give my thoughts on the shown roster as if it is actually true.
- First off, no Ice Climbers. As a huge fan of the duo, this honestly feels like a huge kick in the nuts. You can rip Mewtwo from my clutches, but leave me my precious Popo & Nana. - No Lucas either. I honestly have always sucked with Ness even since Smash 64 but I found Lucas to be a lot of fun to play. So this leaves me rather upset as well. - Jiggly Puff is still there, thank God since that means I'll actually be able to get my sister to play with me. - Okay now Bowser Jr. has the potential of being a legitimate interesting choice, assuming he's more than just a clone of Bowser who's smaller faster and weaker. I think that is what people are expecting him to be, but the thing about that is that is that Bowser Jr.'s body is actually very different from his daddy's; in particular in the limbs, since his are pretty stubby. This is an important detail because Bowser is putting a lot of emphasis on utilizing his arms and legs this time around, so there's a pretty good chance that Junior might be a wholly unique fighter. This is further emphasized by the fact that you can see the top of the Koopa Clown Car in his icon, implying that it is probably actually part of his moveset; most likely his recovery special. At any rate, I hope they work the Magic Paintbrush into his moveset, that is my ONE true wish for this character. - I'm definitely not the first to say this, but Dark Pit doesn't feel like he really deserves his own roster slot. I haven't played Uprising because I value functioning hands, but from what little I know about him he sounds like he's identical to Pit aside from personality. Sure sounds like he fits the criteria of being an alternate costume to me. - I am extremely disappointed in the lack of new unique villain characters. Potentially all we really got was Junior, since from what little I know of Dark Pit he actually becomes an ally in the end. That means our full villain roster is actually just ... Bowser, Bowser jr., and Ganondorf. (Meta Knight, Dedede, and Wario don't count since they're allies nowadays). I would feel a lot better about this if they at least kept Wolf, but they didn't even do that much. I was really hoping for at least one truly unique villain newcomer. - Duck Hunt Dog is just stupid. I'm sorry if that offends you but that is just how I feel and I don't care about being blunt about it. It's stupid and I hate it and I can't believe anybody actually wants it unironically. I'm just going to bow out if ya'll are going to reduce everything I'm saying to "bitching just to bitch"

Hey, they asked for our opinions on the roster leak when it was first posted. I was just giving them what they asked for.

As long as we're letting out charged opinions, can someone explain to me why everyone wants Shulk? I mean, to me he just seems like a mother dude with a sword. Maybe it's because I've never heard of Xenoblade until the Gematsu leak, but I don't get it

Is Wolf really considered a "villain" still? He had only one genuinely villainous role in his entire career, his other two appearances saw him as an antagonistic rival anti-hero, nearly sacrificing himself and his team to repel both the Anglers and the Aparoids. Wolf's character has always read to me as a gruff, nurturing figure who doesn't know how to handle that kind of emotion and chooses instead to challenge Fox in order to force him into growing as both a leader and person. The only time this has not felt true, and even then it still had that weird nurturing vibe, was in StarFox 64 when StarWolf was hired to perform some unsavory tasks... Although it's pretty clear he would have taken out Andross himself once the threat became, in his eyes, "real".

I dunno man, I never played Starfox outside of 64 and Adventures so you know more than I do.
