Spelling check's fault. I hardly use the word myself, but Smash Bros. sure is making me now.

(just in case someone else is wondering "what's griefing?")

It's to do with online gaming that requires some form of cooperation or teamwork, where one of your supposed "friendlies" decides to be an asshole and purposely hinder you/make you lose

examples include:
- that moron who shoots his own teammates in CoD
- inviting a friend over in Animal Crossing to trade, only to have them chop down your trees, dig up the stumps and run over your flowers
- having someone SD till death in SSB, and then use the "stock steal" trick to come back and waste your stock, too

you cause your teammates grief and it's a very asshole thing to do generally

...did they disable the "stock steal" thing in online play?
Can you even do team matches in For Fun or For Glory?

Also eh I'm generally trying to avoid online play on the 3DS smash, I'm saving all my Kill Skill for the Wii U version

I'm against trolling and griefing, but you have to admit that a lot of people online are asking for it. For example: Those who expect to be treated as an authority figure.

Also I just had the best battle as Ness ever in For Fun. Granted, I was being a bit cheesy, but I got like five kills with the bat, one back air, one PK flash, and two hammer kills and one hammer death because I fell off due to lag cancelling my jump.

Unfortunately I play video games at all random times. Maybe I'll play a match after dinner. Can't sleep, so I'll play a match at 5:00AM. It's near impossible to see me online unless you're lucky.

Anyone else go against that one guy who will hide behind the tree at the edge of the map as villager in omega stages? Its hilarious when that happens and they're down a stock, or you're villager and can catch the trees.

Can I just say I'm glad that you don't really have your wins and losses publicly shown

That's always been a huge demotivator for me in online games, if my ratio is more skewed towards losses, because then I just feel like a fuckup who can't even play a game. In this game it's not great either but at least its not broadcast. (Also it's a bit skewed anyway because of all the 4-player For Glory matches I've done where I didn't get first but did get second so it was a top-half victory.


Sidenote I think Bowser Jr. should ask Santa for a kill move this Christmas.

I dunno, I feel like if I could see how good my opponent is before I start fighting them, I'd try my best initially than getting ambushed and barely making it on my last stock.
