That would be me who game that vote.  Smile  Chose because it's more cartoony I guess - that and I like Pacman the most of the new chars (but I had to Mega Man  Exclamation ).

The bonus Mario sprites on gors' looked amazing. Would have gotten my vote if it were a whole sheet of Marios. It's just that it looks different from almost all the custom Mario's on the internet and has an amazing style.
