Hey, Keychain - this is actually really hella cute!!

I feel like that was intentional, though to make the character look a bit more aloof, and I get that...it just for some reason doesn't look like her neck properly meets her collarbone. If you want me to follow up on that just let me know and I'll try to get a little more into detail. Also, this is kind of more of a nitpick, but that hand holding her scythe (which, both by themselves look good - the scythe actually looks REALLY good) seems way too...well, first off, holding a scythe with one hand like that (ignoring the weight of it; she can probably handle it with one hand in the series. i have no idea lol) would probably result in the handle of the scythe being more parallel with the ground. You might want to grab a yardstick and experiment with just how you'd hold a large staff (or in this case, her scythe) in a similar fashion. In my head, I'd assume you'd hold it with fingers clenched, and your thumb outstretched along the shaft of it to keep it level (I'll try to make an illustration later if you want - but if my example sucks, anyone's free to one-up me there lol) Also, just curious, how do you set up people's heads when you're drawing? Do you do it similar to cartooning books' suggestions - draw a circle and then a line to figure out how such a circle would look in 3D? Like what goes into it before you start drawing hair and facial features?

I do basic circles with lines through the circles. For the neck and shoulders I do straight lines, with circles on the joints. I slowly draw out the chest/upper torso and then use a thin circle to connect it to the pelvis.

Holy crap you've started animating already? I look forward to seeing what kind of progress you make in this department!
Steadily improving, by the way. Keep it up!!

I'm working on a really big RWBY related project and it calls for a couple swift animations! I'm really happy with it so far! Thanks so much! Thanked by: Garamonde

Reminds me of Cammiluna's style, not sure if that's good or bad.

Holy crap animation WHAT?? I did NOT notice that the first time.
That's some.... improvement... wow! Keep it up Keychain. I'll be picky and point out that even though your skills on drawing anatomy have improved, they still need some work. Keep on going! Thanked by: Keychain
