Good news everyone! We're finally completely moved over to the new server. I'm sorry it took so long - I vastly underestimated the time required to upload everything. It was about 140 GB of data which should have gone faster but I didn't factor in the fact that its as hundreds of thousands of small files, not large chunks, so it took much longer than expected.
As the server and your caches adjust to the new location, you should notice better performance as this new server is much more powerful. Unfortunately, as with all massive moves of this nature, I'm sure a few bugs crept up as well. We've already addressed a bunch of them but, as always, if you notice any please report them here! The errors thread is usually fine but I think keeping all of the migration-related bugs in one place will help keep me organized. Thanks and welcome back!

Is that all? Is that the total amount of everything put together? I would of thought that it would be a lot more.
That's a rough estimate but it's close enough.

I guess its just the sounds that take up a lot of data, the tSR, tMR and the tTR submissions are a lot smaller than the average tSoR submission.
Its amazing to think that the whole VG Resource could fit on a average $10 hard drive.
Just a quick update. The forum is back up, sites are still down displaying the following message (because I'm too lazy to come up with a new message for this post):
I know you were all excited to see the sites back online and then immediately disappointed to see this message but I promise it's for a good reason. The reason the sites have been down all day has been really hard to pin down but it only started when all of the resource sites came back up. For now, I've disabled all but the forum and will let the server run over night to see what happens. I'll then start slowly enabling one at a time as a sort of stress test.
I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience (trust me, I don't want the sites down any more than you do) but I can't afford to have the server continue to crash. My entire day was spent recovering from the series of crashes last night so I need to do this carefully. I'll see you on all of the sites soon (I hope)!

Sorry for the double post but I have been having massive problems connecting to this site ever since the server switch.
I kept getting ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE when trying to go anywhere on the VG Resource, I couldn't even get here until now.
I don't think the problem is on my end because any other site I go to is fine.
I just wanted to tell someone before I possibly have connection issues again. Hopefully this issue wont persist.
Edit: Petie's response to the issue went up after I made this post!
You'll want to clear your cache and cookies. I made my post a full 5 minutes before yours so if you didn't see that, you're probably on old data.

OH MAN...and I thought was my net was acting up xD haha.. I prey and hope everything be okay
And we're back! For real this time! Our re-launch was a little pre-emptive yesterday as it turned out the hardware issues we were having caused major corruption with the web server's filesystem. I wound up rebuilding the web server from scratch and everything appears to be working now. Keep an eye out for any lingering bugs though and welcome back!
