Pokémon Model Ripping Project

So... if  when this the ripping process is refined for pokemon sun and moon works... should the Title for this article add Sun/Moon? Or is it going to be changed now since the demo is out or when the full game comes out on November 18th.

The models for the older Pokémon are the same as they were in X/Y/OR/AS, so yeah, I'll be updating the title when the full game releases. I won't be uploading anything to The Models Resource until then, just in case.

Come on guys, seriously? Since when has RTB ever been anything short of amazing at what he does? He's figured out more about formats than anyone else on this forum I believe. He's done so much for this community, and continues to do so. He has a real life, and that's obviously first priority for most people. You realize everything he does for this community is of his own accord, without any sort of payment or reward beyond helping the site being it's own reward. He has full right to take his time and do what he needs to do first. Just because he doesn't devote 100% of his effort to this sort of thing doesn't mean he cares any less. Do you have any idea how much work it is to reverse-engineer game engine formats in the first place? Considering he does that, makes the scripts to allow others to do it, and offers free support for every single one he has created, I think he has full right to take a break and focus on his own matters once in a while if he wants to. Learn to have some appreciation for this man's contributions and quit freaking out every time he has to deal with something that ACTUALLY MATTERS in his real life. He's being incredibly considerate and helpful to everyone in this community out of the kindness of his heart, the least you could do is have a bit of consideration to him in return.

Now that's said and done.

RTB, I'm amazed you've made this level of progress already with Sun/Moon. I'd like to have use of a maxscript for Sun/Moon models for the demo content, even though I don't intend on releasing anything I extract yet. I'm eagerly awaiting the development of this, but take your time all the same. I think we're all excited to see what can be done.

I've been working in REing the new Sun/Moon format. A shame they changed the bch format now that I fully understand it, but at least the new format seems pretty simple.

Here's what I have so far:
If anyone wants, I uploaded a few trainer models I exported just now here:

They should be properly rigged too, through tbh I didn't tested all of them.

@RTB Have you found anything related to skeletal animations during your endeavours? I am able to animate by hand, but wouldn't exactly like to do 151 X 5 (755) animations when my game is non profit. We programmers have a phrase that goes "don't reinvent the wheel".

as far as i remember, RTB precisely told everyone that he knows nothing about animation data at all, so highly doubt he'd know about the "PC" bone animation files from XY/ORAS/SuMo

I've ripped a majority of the characters minus pokemon and the player character from the sun/moon demo, waiting till RTB uploads his or the games come out to upload mine.

a/0/8/1 are maps and map textures with overworld and map objects for said maps. from what I can tell, haven't checked everything in it.

a/0/9/3 are pokemon models and textures

a/1/4/0 are pokeballs and Trainer battle models

a/1/6/6 are overworld models

Did anything changed about animations? Can you rip it too? Or the animations still a mystery?

How did you even open the GARC files? GARCToolcrashes when I try to process them.
