I'm fine with the style of the clouds, it's just the transition between the level of clouds which bothers me.

giz that's pretty much how i've seen clouds done in LOTS of games, esp. ones by henk neiborg, my fav. pixelartist
oh, and the main character is different now, i just haven't updated it yet :V

some updates. keep in mind i'm not getting rid of the water or changing the clouds that much.

the character and giant sperm both such ass and are way too simplistic and boring
really the only thing that makes the piece decent is the ground tiles. the clouds just look like giant mountains, despite using such bright colors, you're still using way too many on the background, cut that shit out and stick to 3 or 4 shades with little contrast to keep it from having that "i'm dex and i will draw my mountains like clouds and my clouds like rocks and/or ice cream" feeling that everything of yours has had recently

I've had a lot of input on the main character and it's mostly liked so i'mma keep him, though the enemies will probably change
i can remove some colors but idk i honestly don't see how you're interpreting the clouds as mountains. maybe if i lowered the contrast or something? idk. I'll try that. Thanks.

I'd like to see smoke/burn trails on the ground from the laser, on the Illke-inspired one.
As for the one on the right, you just need to carry on finishing shading.

This'll be a pain in the ass, but putting some really deep space cosmos stuff in the background would be awesome for that robot scene.
Like a galaxy or something.

It really bothers me how you use straight lines in your line arts. There's nothing wrong with curves, you know!
02-05-2009, 10:45 PM
did you even bother to look at the other two
there's curves everywhere the robot one isn't cause' you know...it's a robot...in fact there's even curves in the robot one, too i don't get you, sorry
