Moving on, two more below-average games.
Result Screens Result Screens Oh my god that title screen theme HUD As for this one... let me just say Europeans loved to make Metroidvanias back in the day (and this one has really confusing controls/physics). Thanked by: Ton

Might as well help out since the project seems to be winding down and getting closer to the end. For some reason, I don't feel comfortable ripping NES games. It just doesn't feel right... Even with 20+ rips done for it, it doesn't give the same motivation and most likely to give up faster. It might just because of got to see the NES at a different point of view and didn't grew up with it, still has some good games though. Looking at the list, it's mainly sports games and really old RPG/Strategy games even though there are still a couple of decent games left (like Super Spy Hunter). Speaking of which, the list itself:
Elite wasn't released in the US and by the nature of the game not much to rip. There's a title screen, a background, the display at the bottom and a bunch of lines at an angle. I thought it was that technique where there weren't any sprites but reading info seems to be sprites because the NES isn't fast enough to do that. Eh? Stadium Events and World Class Track Meet are the same game, one is rare in the US and the other is dirt common being bundled. As far as I know the differences are the title screen, the Bandai logo got replaced in game and maybe a few changes here and there. Hey, at least there's one less game to rip. Ultimate League Soccer is a cleaned up version of a NSFW game (AV Soccer), cleaned up as in removing the cutscenes. It's also a bootleg. Saying that got a couple of sports games done and one that I'm very familar with... Riders Despite the name, BMX Simulator is actually a port of Professional BMX Simulator due to the music, able to select your terrain, the riders themselves even though it dropped a 4th player as well as the simulation mode. Strange that on the Amstrad CPC (its original platform) it is considered one of the better games while on the NES, it is considered one of the worst Western developed games judging by reviews, probably doesn't help that it was a 3/4 year old game at that point. At least you don't have to mess about with two cassette tapes and it is easier to rip from. Very glitchy to start a game though. As for the rest of the Quattro pack, the Tennis one is pretty bad but that's like that on any system that got the game and heard similar things about the Soccer one. NES Play Action Football - Referee, Team Icons I don't know much about football apart from someone called John Madden. Tried playing various games including Blitz: The League but still can't understand it. Nearly finished ripping the players but because I don't know where the animation goes due I have no clue where they go (the sprites were a bit all over the place but most of them were thankfully put together) so had to make do with last minute substitution rips. If anyone wants the unfinished sheet and wants to polish it, just ask via PM. At least the penultimate(?) Nintendo published game is here. I think there's just To the Earth left in terms of games that were released in the US. Oh has Stadium Events been claimed yet? It's because I'm currently working on a sheet of that game. Welcome aboard, Yawackhary!
And yeah, I agree on the status of the megaton of sports and RPG/Strategy stuff. Course if the project included Famicom games then that would easily take up the remaining half of the project, along with text-heavy adventure games without translations going in there somewhere. Sure there's YY-CHR to help with grabbing assets from some of those games, but you still need to play the games proper to get the palettes. And then most of the others are shovelware, unlicensed, or just total crud, like this one, which despite not being a Color Dreams game, feels just like one: Moon Ranger Especially with how the main character sprite looks and animates like your typical Color Dreams sprite, with the thick outlines, crunched up sprites, and really weird eyes. Yeah. What annoys me a little so far are games reusing tiles and sprite alignment where they can be a few pixels off in the ROM (or a CHR viewer), its understandable to lower the cartridge space but unless you are checking the game itself, you won't know whether it would look right or not especially unused stuff. Anyway:
Title Screen I know. It's a bit disappointing just a title screen (from all variations of the game) but I tried very hard to even find a way of controlling it with no luck. Despite saying that it supports the Power Pad; tried every button, various settings and nothing in game. Have to try another emulator for this game and Mesen is normally good but must have problems when it comes to games that have different controls. Zapper games seem fine if a bit inaccurate though but that might be the gun itself. On the Famicom side, did do this: Bikes A game that came with an inflatable motorbike and the game isn't too bad, if a bit sparse. At least there was a cheat for normal controls.

Hey neat! I think we have all the top expensive games ripped. :p

That sounds amazing tbh, I wonder if I could get one of those cheap and see if it needs repairs, inflatable stuff shouldn't be too hard unless it's like a gigantic hole. Anyway I'll be getting back to this because I took a break due to a... tragedy. Thanked by: Ton, Yawackhary

I hope you get better and its okay taking a break when something bad has happened in your life. Rest as long as you need.
Mystery World Dizzy Dizzy Intro I've only ripped this because I ripped the original game it was based off and thought might as well do this one. Who says remakes and remasters are a recent thing? As for the game itself, obviously it is technically better than the Amstrad original and much easier to control but jumping over rats and spiders are annoying making the game slower and lost out on a cameo. Also a touch of censorship but you wouldn't know because it is minor. Oh and I managed to trigger two crashes during gameplay on the Yolkfolk Treehouse segments. Apart from those issues, had some fun. Is it a prototype, a bootleg, something else or all 3? I don't know... It was released last year by the developers. Jimmy Connors Tennis Backgrounds Super Cars Car Turned out to be my easiest rip on this, was done pretty quickly with no annoying issues. Oh and checking the first post; F-15 City War, Super Dodge Ball and Sky Shark aren't crossed off even though they are on the site.

I put Dizzy as a Prototype because I honestly have no idea what else to call it, hah. I'll fix the first post now!
