Hey there everyone! I've created a full video tutorial on Importing models into Blender and how to texture them correctly, all links are in the description!

I would love to help with uploading models but sadly I don't have 3DSMax so I can't, sorry.

I hate to have to ask, but, could someone please provide a compiled CrossMod, for those of us who can't compile it ourselves?

Does anyone know how to get the model to view properly on 3DS Max's (2017) viewport?

Disabling transparency fixes *most* issues but then you have other minor issues like needing to enable backface culling and obviously some textures not working properly due to the disabled transparency.

If you just load models it has all sorts of viewport issues;

If you disable transparency in the viewport;

Should note that non of the viewport issues are present during rendering, however I can't get the iris to show up on neither viewport or rendering...

While the sclera (white parts of the eyes) are their own mesh, I don't think I've found any of them to have an Iris, should I just slap the 2 textures together in an image editor then?

I'm using the max script on the first post btw.

Dang, I still have no idea how to get the textures using QuickBms properly, they're still coming out white.
If someone has a solution, please message me or reply to this. Sorry if I sound desperate, it's just bugging me a lot.
I'd prefer to keep using QuickBms, as it's fairly easy to understand, it's just that I might be doing something wrong.

I'm having an issue with the quick BMS script. No matter what I do the texture files come out in a DDS format that isn't supported by noesis or any other software I have.

Ah, as the user above mentioned, the DDS files do seem to be unsupported. After I failed with converting the DDS files to PNG with Noesis, I tried using a simpler program such as Paint.Net, one that supports DDS images as well, and it couldn't open it. Could this be why the images are white?

I'm having the same problem as you, textures all white. The unsupported file is fairly a reason why. Don't know if the texture extract script file is broken.

have you guys ever thought about updating quickBMS to the latest version? It's probably cause ur using an outdated version of the tool and it doesn't get the textures properly at all for all of ya'll.

That's sort of the solution I guess. Apparently, I was using an old version of Noesis and I feel really stupid. But it's all working now, so.

Thanks regardless ^^.

This is my first attempt with this stuff. So far so good, but I'm at the point now where I have no idea where I'm at or what to do.
I have no idea how to do the eyes, or separate faces.
To be honest, I think Luigi's model wasn't really updated. His textures might be able to just be slapped on the Sm4sh model and be able to call it a day.
I wish I could do more, as I'd love to get Luigi, Snake, ROB, Daisy, and Wario into GMod/SFM. I just don't know enough.  Sad

If anyone can help me though, that'd be great!  Big Grin
