Unable to extract/open OBB file for Final Fantasy Dimension 2
#1
Hello,

As mentioned in the title - I have the OBB file (appox. 300mb) for Final Fantasy Dimension 2.
However, I cannot extract from the OBB file.
When changed into a zip file, I get an 'corrupted' message.
When I change into a 7zip file, it just doesn't open. No messages whatsoever.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks!!

https://github.com/veronicakulikova/obbd...bdown2.jar
(Requires Java 8)
Usage:
Code:
java -jar obbdown2.jar

Or this (if you don't have Java)
https://github.com/veronicakulikova/obbd...bbDown.zip
Usage:
Code:
ObbDown.exe <obbfile> <outdir>
Or
Drag and drop obb file onto ObbDown.exe in File Explorer

Thank you for showing me this!!
I'm not sure if I'm using this correctly.
I tried to drag and drop but got this message:
IO Exception occurred. Details:
java.io.IOException: missing boot sector signature.

When I ran ObbDown using the Java codes I got this error (see below)

Error: A JNI error has occurred, please check your installation and try again

The first error just means it's not valid. It's either a pre-encrypted image or it's some other format (I find that unlikely).
I'll try looking at the game myself soon.
Edit: this is beautiful, I think I'll be able to roll something out by Saturday at the latest Heart

Ohhhh this is amazing!! Please do share your hardwork!!
I've been waiting for this for a while now hahaha.

I'm not sure about the .meo files.
But based on the folder names, seems like .akb are encrypted audio files and .pvr are encrypted image files for use between computer and mobile system.

In case you are interested in the mobile images (which I am) I found this took online called PVRTexTool.

Here's a link of what the images came out to be =D - just one example.

Thank you for helping me find this treasure trove, I will upload them to the site once I have them all compiled =)
Thanks again!!
