This project uses the models ripped by RandomTalkingBush; original thread at https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-34836.html
The fighters are back ... for more kart racing! Bigger, better than from two years ago, and racing in an all-new Mario Kart 8 (Deluxe) inspired kart design! Oh, all the DLC characters released so far are here for kart racing too!
Project repository (using Git): https://gitlab.com/Worldblender/ssbu-karts-for-stk
I have created a collection of 82 add-on karts based on the roster of the latest Smash Ultimate + all released DLC content for the free/open source racing game SuperTuxKart (STK), excluding the Mii Fighters. I actually began this project a month after the release of Smash Ultimate in December 2018, but I did not make a separate posting for it back then. Like last time from two years ago, I'm using the actual 3D models from Smash Ultimate for the greatest authenticity. Only the default costumes of every fighter have been released for now. Beware that while the karts are functional, they aren't quite as polished as the standard karts shipping with STK or their original Smash Ultimate counterparts. Unlike with my previous attempt, they contain very minimal animation, with them being stuck in their straight pose all the time. I wanted to get all the characters out first since starting on this redo two weeks ago.
Remember, this is not the final version: it's a preview for a reason. If you're willing to accept this lack of polish, go ahead and continue reading below or at https://gitlab.com/Worldblender/ssbu-kar.../README.md.
For those who can't or don't want to install any software, here's a screenshot of all the karts I exported:
Changes since my initial release 2 years ago: https://gitlab.com/Worldblender/ssbu-kar...ANGELOG.md

This repository will be continuously updated to include DLC characters, maintain compatibility with the latest STK versions, and to improve the karts' presentation (such as texture configuration and more animations). Please leave some feedback/or suggestions about this kart collection if you can, as I may use them in enhancing it. This post won't be the last update on my karts; any further updates worth mentioning will appear in future posts. Later on, I may also port some of the Smash Ultimate stages as STK tracks that can be raced on for the first time.
The karts are proudly created with Blender, the famous free/open-source 3D suite. This collection uses models and icons ripped direct from Smash Ultimate; a thread for the models themselves can be found at the top of this post. I also have vanilla character models at https://gitlab.com/Worldblender/smash-ul...s-exported, and a Blender script for importing the original Smash Ultimate models at https://gitlab.com/Worldblender/io_scene_numdlb.
