Idea: The Animations Resource

I would like the VG-Resource team to make an "Animations Resouce", which would basically be a ala-Spriters Resourse site, but with 3D game animations, and that's just my suggestion anyway, I don't expect it to actually have that, I just wish it had.

i came to ask if there was a thing like that, i really want some speciffic animations from games but cant find any, funny how someone else at around the same time as me had the exact same idea, if i happen to stumble apon something like that i'll share it here but dont hold out hope for me

the thing is that animations by themselves are completely worthless - they must be paired with the exact same model they were also ripped with, thus making them a subset of tMR

Yeah agreed, Animations are very complex to do. These cost a lot of Time and without experience in Blender or other 3D Software, your will stuck on this Step.
I have Animations for Crash Bandicoot as example.. but if i want upload something, everytime my Uploads are denied.. i have tried 4-5 Times but in meanwhile for me doesnt matter i have what i wanted.

I've considered this idea for some time but am still trying to work out a logical means of it being usable. My current concept isn't supplying animation files for 3D objects, but rather recordings of animations for educational purposes, so that they may be analysed and people can better understand how they were created in the first place.

This would be something utilising GIFs for sprite animations, and perhaps MP4/webm video for 3D animations, with frame-by-frame control, framerate control, etc. to let users slow it down in browser and consider how things are animated.

It isn't the same thing, but I think it is still of high value; plus, GIF animations of sprites are still going to be usable in many scenarios. This isn't something we have planned for the immediate future, but it is something I am floating around.
