Super Star Ultra Project - Phase 2
ugh, my point is that sword in KSSU doesn't have final cutter or final sword or anything that even looks close to it. Obviously they later switched that skill(renamed it) and then sword had it. To stay in style I didn't do a final sword/cutter since it wasn't how KSSU would have had it.

Another way to look at it is, I did the down attack in the style that KSSU did it, NOT the way they did it in katam; the point I'm trying to get across is that I'm just trying to do moves that the game would have done if they were in the game(you know, the way it was described in this project). Arguing about it now is pointless since I did final cutter/sword in Master =.= I'll upload very soon

Edit:
This seems to be the first time my upload turned into a JPG, if there's a lose in color sorry, I dunno what to do about it; I haven't really looked into it much but the color seems to be fine.

Now w/ Final cutter/sword Big Grin

Very good. The jpeg file doesn't seem to have destroyed the sheet, so that's good.

TinyPic has a habit of tagging a bunch of images as JPGs when they're not. =P

I can't stand editting poses of a sprite I didn't make :/
I don't think I'll be able to do Kirby's poses while teamed up with Pitch

I think Pitch's stomach needs more anti-aliasing on the inside of its outline; KSSU uses a lot of anti-aliasing on inner outlines. Perhaps if you used the darker color used as the outline for his beak?
If it's too dark on its own you can always add another AA layer on top to smooth it out.

EDIT: I made a small example, if you don't mind; it's not a major change by any stretch of the imagination, but I think it gives a bit more depth to the sprite.

Hmm... Make Rick's outline a bit bolder It may just be me, but the KSSU sprites seem to have the illusion of having bold outlines. But overall, keep going from that.

Maybe you could make the top line of his head less straight, a bit more courved.

Jeez, I need to update the topic. I'll try to do that later today. I've been busy with "real life" stuff. It sucks.

Anyways, some comments:

This is a personal preference really, but I think Rick would be a lot better if he stood at more of an angle rather than en profilé. I don't really know the best way to describe what I mean, but he just looks really odd standing so parallel to the screen like that compared to the existing KSSU sprites. And yeah I'm aware that's what he looked like in the original game, but does that mean he would still look like that in an updated version? I dunno.

Also I think his feet are supposed to look like they're tucked under his body when he's standing still. I'm not sure if that's an important detail though.

Also I just wanted to point out that the Master ability does NOT in fact have a Final Cutter attack. It was replaced by the upward thrust attack which he already had on his sheet (just below where the text says "extra attacks").

The two attacks which he IS missing is the charged blast (which technically just uses the slash animation so he only needs to add the energy wave) and the rapid-slash attack (which he technically doesn't need since KSSU has a different way of doing that attack, and it's animation is already on the sheet).

His feet shouldn't be showing.

& I'll do gooey.

EDIT: Gooey update. [Image: gooey.png] Criticisms would be nice.

He needs rounded out at the bottom.
Thanked by:
I'll fix that in sec, but how about these? [Image: gooey-1.png]

The third one is the best. Curve in the top on the third one. Try to make it a little fatter too.
