I agree with Zeemort, the time thing was awesome, but at the same time you kinda just wanted it to leave you alone.

I have to agree with Tyvon, LoZ:MM's time system actually was one of the most good concepts of the game. It actually gave a more real idea of what a game should be. You never really see that in any sort of game. Because the villain always wants to achieve his goal before the hero stops him. But in most games, all the villain does is simply "Sitting on his ass waiting for the hero to come" which fucks up story itself. Majora's mask actually makes the story more real while not fucking up game play. True, it can get annoying at times where you wish you could just have the time stop, but that is why the time travel songs were made, so if you screw up, you go back in time and start all over again and if you don't do that and you are still goofing off, the moon achieves his goal and it's game over. Tyvon explained it well himself before.

The whole time travel concept is what separates Majora's mask from some other games that involve a plot where you have to save the world on time. And that's what a game should be.

Indeed. Which is why I'll always like MM over OOT too.

Ganon isn't the villain in Majora's Mask, both Oracle games, Link's Awakening, Four Swords, FSA, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass or Adventure of Link.

That's like, what? More than half the games?

Ganons the guy who warps Vaati's mind in FSA and I guess by association FS and since Minish Cap is just FSA with either back story or some repetitious shit that means that ultimately he's the cause for Vaati's vulgar nature and evil turn about in MC.

Ganon appears to Link in LA as his worst nightmare and final boss.

The oracle games, need one to complete the other and when that happens you fight Ganon who was controlling the other pretend to be end bosses in the Oracle games.

So I guess that's only 2 games Ganon doesn't majorly affect Link, Zelda, or the Triforce.

Minish Cap is the backstory to the Four Sword games, Ganon had nothing to do with it. And he had nothing to do with FS either. Ganon was in FSA and the Oracles, though.

Well most Zelda bosses are ancient sleeping beasts guarding sacred objects anyway. In OoT Ganondorf already took over Hyrule, he was then searching for Zelda who once revealed her identity was immediately captured as bait to draw Link to him so he could reunite the Triforce.

You could say Ganon's excuse for waiting is simply his desire for the Triforce piece you carry. It's like what the Wicked Witch of the West said: "These things need to be done delicately."

Yeah, and I get that. I fully appreciate and love every bit of it. But at the same time I kinda want it to leave me alone so I can go back to fucking around like usual. But yeah, that's just part of me, the rest of me loves all of it.

Arthur is pretty much saying what I'm failing to

THE TIME LIMIT IS OTHERWISE RAD. Seriously. But it kinda stops you feeling like you're there to explore and adventure and more like you're there to run in and get shit done.

OoT despite being my FAVOURITE GAME EVER IN THE FUCKING WORLD OH MY GOD suffered a bit from not feeling particularly rich or as well-developed as it could've been, MM on the other hand is a much richer and more thought out world but you always kinda feel like there's some guy hanging over your shoulder pestering you to stop taking pictographs or dossing about in a shooting gallery and start saving the world :c

I'll never understand this argument. For me this is what set the mood and made the game that much more atmospheric, adding to the sense that "HOLY SHIT THE WORLD REALLY IS ENDING."

I personally think they ought to follow up on Tyvon and Bills gripe. Make sure that Link knows the world is in desperate need of saving but give him the time to actually enjoy the world he's in. That's what MM did, also note that I never went out of my way to buy OoT but I did at my early age pre-order and buy that shit (MM) for myself with the expansion pack. MM to me looked like a real "save the world young hero!" I spent so much time reading up on the game before it's release that when they started accepting pre-orders there was no question as to wherether or not I was going to get the game.

Bill is right on the need of more beautiful Wind Waker based games. I personally think MM Time Limits should be incorporated to a Wind Waker styled game. One where Link would not only travel to Termina but to other villages as well, kind of like Oblivion except humor centered, with serious epic storyline backdrop.

Since everyone got to pitch a Zelda story here's mine.

The Legend of Zelda : Hero of Fairies

Plot: After the events of Termina Link returns home to where he is suddenly rushed by the postman wearing his bunny hood saying he's been looking for Link for days. The Postman gives Link a letter written by Navi saying that she returned to her own Kingdom, but Link should come visit her. Link elated to learn Navi being okay jumps up at the oppurtunity, but only recently learned of the outside world of Hyrule must now learn how to enter the Realm of Fairies. But only has 5 days in which she can wait for him! Which is where the game begins.

Chapter 1: Find a way into the realm of fairies!
Beginning of the game, Link must first with Epona chase down the now incredibly fast Postman to find out where the letter came from. (He realizes there is no return address on the postcard from Navi and must find out where the original letter came from. Link learns the letter came from the the Great fairy inside the grounds of Hyrule castle. Link returns to her, and learns that he must refind all the great fairies of Hyrule receive their blessing and the blessings of the 3 great fairies in Termina, as well as the 4 elder fairy sages to gain acceptance into being welcome into their realm.

Chapter 1 consists of the revisiting of Hyrule, Link is reintroduced to a new Bombmers Notebook for helping people, learns that Princess Zelda is making progress with her father from stopping Ganondorf, we are introduced to the Fairy Enchant system, The time limit system returns, The Happy Mask shop is no longer run by the happy masked man, Ruuto invites Link to her birthday party as her date.

This is just a gist of what I have in my head bu all the Orcarania and Termina realms, places, and locales stick to their original more Wind Waker looks but now have more expansive areas to compensate for the new storyline.

Also, new Kingdom and Fairy Realm of course.
