I'm going to say by my own experience:
DS got lots of games, but I really gave up on DSi as soon I learned about not having a GBA game entrance, so I'm quite happy with my old system. You know the drill about the DS, so I'll save it.
I really didn't wanted to pick up a PSP hearing all those anti-PSP stuff, but I decided to pick one now. The new models aren't compatible with firmware and stuff, so it was now or never, and I'm glad I got. I'm surprised it got many nice games, and you can actually get your PS1 games running smoothly on your PSP.
